A big thank you to all those who supported the hall and Oxton e-bikes open day yesterday.

There was sufficient interest in the e-bikes with a few people participating in trial rides 😁

Oxton community are now the proud owner of 2 e-bikes, the white and grey ones , as seen in the photograph.

Stow Cycle Hub, very kindly accepted a grant and purchased the bikes on our behalf. Had they not, we would have lost the money.

We still need a willing volunteer to be the link between Oxton and Stow Cycle Hub . This would allow our 2 new e-bikes to be used in full.

If you are interested in this role or want more information please message me.

Sadly, if this role remains vacant the bikes will go unused.

Happy Sunday 😁

We are here until 1pm . Come and give the e-bikes a try 😁

Come along to the Ebikes open day on Saturday

Stow Cycle Hub are bringing 4 Ebikes.

Two of these Ebikes along with helmets , child trailer, panniers and all the necessary chargers, locks, and bike emergency toolkits now belong to Oxton community. This is thanks to Stow Cycle Hub accepting an SBC grant on our behalf. The grant would otherwise have been lost.

Steven, David and Eibhlin from Stow Cycle Hub and Anne Lillico from Lauder will demonstrate and instruct how the bikes work. They will lead trial rides and answer any questions regarding the bikes and hub membership.

Most importantly they are looking to recruit volunteers to help manage the Oxton bikes. Without this we will sadly run the risk of our bikes being unused.

Information handouts and cycle maps will be available.

Whether Ebikes are your thing or not come along and have a blether. You never know….

Hot filled rolls and refreshments can be purchased at a modest price.

We look forward to seeing you. 😊
