At The Woodhouse Craft Centre, we love a challenge! As always, we’re passionate about repairing and restoring much-loved items, and if we can help keep something out of landfill, that’s a win-win in our book.
A couple of weeks ago, Claire popped in with a broken picture frame that had seen better days. This time, it was my turn to take on the restoration project. It was lovely to step away from running the centre for a while and get creative with a hands-on challenge.

Claire came in at lunchtime today to collect her frame, and when Sarah showed her the finished result, she was absolutely delighted. There’s nothing more rewarding than bringing a treasured item back to life and seeing the smile it puts on someone’s face.

So… Gary was feeling a little lonely. 🐹💔

After one too many evenings spent nibbling hay and watching couples share cucumber slices, he decided it was time to be brave… and join a guinea pig dating app. 📱✨

At first there were a few questionable profiles (one pig only posted photos with carrots 🚩🥕), but then… Gloria appeared. 🎀

A fellow hay enthusiast. Lover of cosy hideys. Excellent ribbon accessoriser.

Gary’s been fully embracing a bit of culture lately 🎨🐾

After another museum visit last weekend (he’s becoming quite the art critic 👀), he’s spent the last few days spotting some incredible graffiti across London — and he was seriously impressed with the creativity on show.

Then, in true Gary style, he swapped city streets for countryside calm… slowing things right down to get up close and personal with the butterflies 🦋

A perfect blend of culture and nature — although Gary still insists he’s the most interesting thing he’s seen this week 😉

🐾 Gary Update 🐾🌼 Gary has been making the most of this glorious sunshine today, offering his very enthusiastic help in the garden 🌼☀️

Armed with his brand new sun hat (safety first, obviously), he assured everyone he wasn’t afraid to get his paws dirty… although, if we’re being honest, there’s been far more flower sniffing than actual gardening going on! 🌸👃

Still, morale is high, the garden smells lovely, and Gary is absolutely convinced he’s been a huge help. We’re not entirely sure the plants agree… but it’s the thought that counts!
