Yesterday we ran our final weekly meet of the year with this spectacular group! We are so proud of all they've achieved and have loved creating such a safe space with them. Thank you for being such an integral part of Hub 🌱

Day 8

We made a dead hedge! We had saved all the hazel we cut previously, whittled stakes, cut the branches into straight pieces. Everyone worked so hard to get this done in a day and it looks great!

Coming up 20th April 2026 - One of our facilitators Heather has arranged a group booking to RHS Wisley.

(Yes they do home ed days but they book up super fast!)

We have a slightly discounted rate for entry, but a good discount on the Guide Book with lots of info and history on the gardens.

No need to be a Hub attendee, as long as you are a HE family we would love to meet you and enjoy the day exploring the lovely gardens!

We also set 'International Day of Women in Science' style STEM challenges and posed questions about why there are so few women in science careers and why they should be encouraged

Day 2

Enjoying picking through this book and some of the exercises.

Today's exercise was thinking about my inner critic; jotting down each time I noticed any self critical thought I had....and it was a long list 🫣

No matter our best intentions our kids will do as we do, not necessarily as we say. So next time you try and shrug off a compliment or claim dinner wasn't all that delicious or give yourself a hard time about forgetting something minor.....go gently on yourself, we're all only human!
