After our summer break, we returned last night with our Autumn Quiz at the wonderful Loose Cannon Brewery, and what a corker it was! 🥳

A FULL HOUSE and a RECORD-BREAKING total of over £1,500 raised! 🍾👏

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along, joined in the fun and helped make it such a fantastic evening. We couldn’t do it without your support. ❤️

What better way to raise money for cancer research at the Churchill Hospital than by having a brilliant evening and enjoying great company.

Together we are beating cancer sooner! 🎗️❤️

With the wonderful addition of Sarah on soprano and tenor recorder, we were able to bring even more variety to our repertoire, including some beautifully slow and haunting pieces that were a real joy to play in addition to the fast fiddle pieces.

The Three Busketeers kept travellers entertained at Roadchef on Saturday as they stopped for a well-earned break, and thanks to everyone’s incredible generosity we raised an amazing £464.68.

Every penny raised will go towards the vital cancer research taking place at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford. Thank you to everyone who stopped to listen, donated, smiled, or cheered us on, your support means so much.

🎶💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to Becci & Dave 💙🎶
We’d like to say an enormous thank you to our incredible charity partners, Hanney Fundraisers—especially Becci and Dave—who single-handedly organised this weekend’s Weir Farm Fest.
Bringing together a music festival for 500 people is an incredible achievement. The months of planning, hard work and dedication behind the scenes all paid off, with the event raising an amazing £6,000 for Churchill Partners in one day! What a phenomenal result! 🎉
The festival was made even more poignant as it was held in memory of Rich, Dave’s beloved brother, who was sadly lost to cancer recently. Turning such a heartbreaking loss into something so positive, bringing people together and raising vital funds to help others, is a truly special tribute to Rich’s memory.
While Becci and Dave are hopefully now enjoying a very well-earned rest and recovering from an unforgettable weekend, we want them to know just how much their commitment, strength and generosity are appreciated.
Thank you both for everything you do. Your passion and determination continue to make a real difference, and we feel incredibly privileged to have your support. ❤️

🏎️ A Prize Worth the Wait! 🏎️

One of our lucky winners from LAST YEAR’S Churchill Partners Prize Draw has finally enjoyed his Supercar Experience Day, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! 🤩

Here’s what he had to say:

“Booking was very easy. The day started with a briefing session about the track rules and where to go, then it was just a case of finding the right garages for each run. I had 3 laps in each car with the expert drivers… and you definitely need a brave pill because it’s amazing how fast they are compared to my own car! 🤣 All in all, a fab day!”

What an incredible experience! We’re so pleased our winner had such a fantastic day and made some unforgettable memories.

🐸💚 A Record-Breaking Achievement by Some Truly Inspiring Young People! 💚🐸

Churchill Partners were delighted to be invited to Cutteslow Primary School to celebrate the incredible success of their record-breaking origami frog challenge.

The ambitious idea came from two amazing 10-year-olds, Jack and Joey, who inspired their friends to join them in folding as many origami frogs as possible. The original record was 4,500 frogs, and they didn’t just beat it, they smashed it with an astonishing 4,554 frogs! 🎉

As the challenge was sponsored, the children voted for where the money should go. In a wonderful display of kindness and compassion, they chose to support Cancer Research and the Oxfordshire Homeless Movement.

We were honoured to receive a fantastic donation of £420 for Churchill Partners, which will go directly towards supporting vital cancer research at the Churchill Hospital.

A huge thank you to Jo Buchan-Shreeve for such a warm welcome, and to the boys, their families, the staff at Cutteslow Primary School, and everyone who supported this inspiring project.

It was a genuinely uplifting and motivational afternoon, reminding us that you’re never too young to make a real difference. We have no doubt Jack, Joey and their friends have very bright futures ahead of them. ❤️

Some days stay with you forever, and this was certainly one of them. 💙

It was a real privilege to be invited to Bicester Motion to support YASA as they hosted an incredible 180km running relay in aid of Cancer Research UK (70%) and StarterMotor (30%).

The day began with a short speech from me about the life-changing breakthroughs being made through Cancer Research UK’s work, reminding us all exactly why events like this matter so much. As the first runners set off, there was an overwhelming sense of hope, determination and unity. Every mile represented a shared commitment to a future where more lives are saved from cancer.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone at YASA for choosing to support Churchill Partners and for raising an amazing £1,000. Every penny will go directly towards the pioneering cancer research taking place at the Churchill Hospital, giving hope to patients and families now and for generations to come.

To every runner, volunteer, organiser and supporter, thank you. 🙏

Amazing news! Cervical cancer deaths in younger women have plummeted in England following the rollout of the HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine, according to new research, published today in The Lancet.

Between 2020 and 2024, there were no deaths from cervical cancer in women aged 20-24 in England for the first time. HPV vaccine coverage in this group was close to 90%, and the vaccine was offered at age 12-13.

Our research helped prove the link between HPV and cervical cancer, and led to the development of the HPV vaccine. The vaccination programme in England has been shown to reduce cervical cancer incidence rates by up to 90%. It’s also important that women consider taking up cervical screening when invited, even if they've had the HPV vaccine. The HPV vaccine and cervical screening combined is the best way to prevent cervical cancer.

Until now, it’s not been possible to show directly that HPV vaccination reduces cervical cancer deaths. With vaccinated generations now reaching adulthood, this study provides the strongest national evidence to date that the vaccine is saving lives.
