As the warmer weather arrives, we’re delighted to share another edition filled with stories, achievements, and special moments from around our home. 🌸 Welcome to our Spring Newsletter! 🌸

As the days grow brighter and flowers begin to bloom; we are delighted to share the latest highlights from our home. This edition features beautiful poems written by our residents, reflecting creativity that inspires us all. We look back on our joyful Christmas festivities, the continued home library service, and warmly welcome a new member to our Social Wellbeing Team. You will also read about our choir, bringing music, connection, and joy to our community. Spring is a season of renewal, and we are proud to continue creating meaningful moments together.

As the year comes to a close, we’re excited to share some wonderful moments and milestones from our home. This edition celebrates the achievements of our dedicated staff, whose hard work and commitment continue to make a meaningful difference every day. We’re also pleased to include a message from Laura Cole, who has recently stepped into the role of Assistant Manager and brings great passion and energy to the team. And of course, we couldn’t forget one of the season’s highlights — a magical visit from the penguins and birds of prey that brought smiles to residents and staff alike!

We would like to express how proud we are of our very own Carer Aimee, who has won the Apprentice of the Year award at the Thames Valley Business and Community Awards on Friday 28th February 2025. Well done, Aimee from all of us here at Fairfield.

An Oxford apprentice has been recognised for her 'immense effort' by winning a prestigious award.

On Wednesday 10th July, we had a very informative talk from SDC regarding the building work happening around Fairfield. We were also given an amazing tour of the building site.

Today, two of our residents celebrated their 68th anniversary. When asked about their anniversary they said “We have been in love since day one” - Happy anniversary Mary and John!
