Know Your Rights: Education Law & SEND Support

Navigating the SEND system can be complex and families are frequently left without the support their children are legally entitled to.

Global Child and Maternal Health is hosting a short, practical online drop-in session in collaboration with barrister Acland Bryant, focused on SEND education law and children’s legal rights.

What we’ll cover:
• Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• The legal duties of schools and local authorities
• What steps to take when support is not in place
• Live Q&A, submit your own questions in advance or during the session

🗓 Tuesday 27 January
⏰ 11:00 – 12:30
📍 Online (Zoom)

This session is for parents, carers, professionals, and anyone supporting families with SEND who want clearer information and practical guidance.

Because understanding your rights is a powerful first step toward securing meaningful support.

Thank you Saman HeartyEarth for your donations today to the Jamaican Community Tash Kitchen. You did not hesitate to leave your pot of noodles to donate 3 crates of canned food (over 50 cans), snacks, and 7 boxes of Sanitary pads.

This is what a community is about and this is what we do. We at Community Researching UK connect community needs with different organisations to help provide, support or raise awareness for these needs.

If you can help with more donations/items to be shipped to families in Jamaica, please contact Kitchen, send us a message or call 07526001101.
