Restore

Restore Oxfordshire mental health charity that supports people to take control of their own recovery. Welcome to Restore! Mental ill-health is a normal part of life.

We're an Oxfordshire charity working towards one big goal -- a society where people with mental ill-health feel empowered to lead lives they find meaningful. In any one year, one in four people in the UK will have a mental health concern, and this can affect how they feel about themselves or others. Restore's here to support people with mental ill health to take control of their own recovery, deve

lop skills, and lead lives they find meaningful. Real change starts with people just like you. It's thanks to donations, volunteering, and kind gifts in Wills from supporters just like you that we've been here since 1977, helping people with mental ill-health to become whatever they want to be. You make all the difference. GET INVOLVED AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Your support will make us unstoppable. Can you help? WILL YOU VOLUNTEER A SHIFT? We need people for all kinds of roles. And you'll join a friendly team at the heart of your community. If you'd like to gain experience and skills in a supportive and friendly environment, please message us here! WILL YOU RAISE MONEY? We couldn't do what we do without the support of the local community who rally behind Restore. If you want to fundraise with Restore, we will be with you every step of the way. Please message us here. Our supporters take part in half-marathons, cycle rides, cake bake sales, and more, and do all sorts of things from jumping out of a plane to dying their hair a bright colour. Does this sound like you? WILL YOU DONATE? Your support can pay for life-changing coaching and recovery support. Together we can provide personalised support to people living with mental ill-health in Oxfordshire. Would you like to make a donation or set up a direct debit? Would you like to donate in memory? Making a donation to Restore in memory of a loved one is a special way to remember them and make a positive difference in the lives of people with mental ill-health. Would you like to leave behind a better world with a gift in your Will to Restore? It's thanks to kind gifts in Wills from our supporters that we've been here for forty years. If you'd like to discuss this, get in touch. WILL YOU SHARE OUR WORK? We work with the whole community to end stigma related to mental ill health. We organise and take part in community events, so please get in touch if you've got any ideas or events planned! And, finally, we rely on you to help share news about our work. Please Like our page and share our news with all of your facebook friends!

🎉 Happy Volunteers’ Week! 🎉

Today, we’re spotlighting the wonderful Selasie! 🌟 Turn your volume UP to hear her talk about her journey and favourite moments at Restore. 🔊

Selasie’s Restore journey began at our fundraising events. Through her incredible hard work and dedication, she progressed to an admin role, and now volunteers with our Referrals team, helping us get potential members processed smoothly and efficiently.

Thank you, Selasie, for all that you do!

It’s Volunteers Week! 🌟💜

To kick off the week, here are some of the incredible faces who keep Restore going!

But seriously - Restore simply couldn’t provide its services without our dedicated volunteers. They give their time, skills, and passion to ensure quality care for our community. With charities facing limited resources right now, both community and corporate volunteers are more vital than ever. Thank you 👏

Introducing tea fuelled action, meetings & spreadsheets at Manzil Way…☕️💜

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week & The theme this year is Action. So, we’re bringing Restore to you, and giving one small action you can take today, for yourself and your community.

Action doesn’t have to be big to matter, especially when we act together. Small, cumulative steps to boost wellness and look out for those around us foster a more mentally healthy and aware society.

Your only “action” today? Take 60 seconds to simply watch and listen.

Today’s final sound bite to round off the week is: the sounds of the Restore workforce in our lovely Manzil Way office - quiet typing, cosy rain sounds, and satisfying shredding! 🖇️✂️👔

Let’s stand together. If you need extra support this week, Restore is here. Head to our signposting page at www.restore.org.uk/get-support/signposting-carers/ for resources and partners tailored to whatever you may be struggling with.

Today this Mental Health Awareness Week, action sounds like this. ☕️

For Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re focusing on Action. But here’s the secret: action doesn’t always have to be loud. Sometimes, the most powerful action is simply showing up for yourself and your community.

Today’s "action" is easy: Just breathe and listen. 💚

We’re sharing a daily Soundbite of Restore all week, and today we're showing a mindful window into our community in Littlemore. Consider experiencing it for yourself at Restore's shop and cafe in Littlemore.

Let's stand together. If you need extra support this week, Restore is here for you 💚. Head to our signposting page at www.restore.org.uk/get-support/signposting-carers/ for resources and partners tailoured to whatever you may be struggling with.

Today’s soundbite is: bird song and the hum of chattering in the garden cafe grounds 🐤🎵
When you next step outside, find one sound to anchor onto for a moment. This isn't about 'fixing' everything at once; it’s about using small, accessible tools to create a pocket of calm and keep overwhelm at bay while you navigate your day, or wider recovery journey.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and to kick things off, the Restore team is standing together in green, to show our solidarity for recovery and our collective fight against mental ill health.

Want a look behind the scenes? All week, we’re sharing our Soundscapes of Restore series. From our gardens to our cafés, these soundbites offer an insight into our community in action and the hard work that makes Restore’s delivery possible. We’ll also be highlighting our to celebrate the network that supports us across Oxfordshire.

Please help us raise awareness and share our content throughout the week ; for recovery, for hope, and for action. 💚
