Our residents enjoyed a wonderful Cheese & Wine Evening at Townsend, filled with great company, laughter, and delicious treats.

Residents sampled a selection of fine cheeses paired with a variety of wines and tipples, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. It was a lovely opportunity to socialise, share stories, and savour some tasty favourites.

A fantastic evening was had by all, and we look forward to many more special events together! 🧀❤️🍷

It's always nice to make the most of a favourite meal, whatever the weather! ☀️🐟🍟

Today, our residents enjoyed a delicious fish and chips lunch with a picnic theme. With the temperatures soaring outside, we decided to bring the picnic indoors where everyone could stay cool, hydrated, and comfortable while still enjoying the fun atmosphere.

There was plenty of laughter, great conversation, and of course, tasty food enjoyed by all. It's wonderful to see our residents coming together to share special moments and make happy memories, whatever the weather brings! 💙

☺️🐦Yesterday, Brenda enjoyed spending time outdoors making the most of the beautiful weather. Using her bird identification cue cards, she took part in some bird watching and was delighted to spot a finch and a black bird.
It was lovely to see Brenda relaxing in the sunshine, enjoying the fresh air, and connecting with nature. Activities like bird watching are a wonderful way to encourage observation, conversation, and appreciation of the world around us.

😎🕶️ National Sunglasses Day celebration at Townsend House! 🕶️😎

There were plenty of smiles and lots of style at Townsend House as our residents celebrated National Sunglasses Day!

Everyone had great fun trying on different sunglasses, posing for photos and enjoying a few laughs together. It was a lovely way to brighten the day and create some wonderful memories.

A big thank you to our fantastic team for organising another fun activity and helping to put smiles on everyone’s faces. ❤️

🌞 Townsend House Summer Fête Fun! 🌞
What a wonderful day we had at Townsend House as families and residents came together to enjoy our summer fête! 🎉
Everyone made the most of the BBQ, games, and fantastic live entertainment, with drinks flowing and plenty of chat and laughter all around. It was truly heartwarming to see so many smiling faces enjoying each other’s company. 💛
A big thank you to everyone who supported our raffle and other activities — together we raised an amazing £257.50! 👏 This will go towards enhancing our residents’ amenities and helps us plan even more meaningful activities and events for the year ahead.
A massive thank you to Jess, our Activities Coordinator, for organising such a fantastic day — it was a real team effort and truly appreciated by all! 🙌

Townsend House are currently looking for raffle prize donations for our upcoming Summer Fete on Saturday 20th June and would really appreciate your support 💙

We are kindly asking for donations of any new and unopened items such as:
🍫 Chocolates
🍾 Bottles and gifts
🕯️ Candles and pamper items
🎁 Hampers and treats

All donations would be hugely appreciated and will help make our raffle extra special for the community.

I was delighted, as Home Manager, to spend a lovely afternoon out at the local Six Bells pub with Derek, Peter, Brenda and Kaz, our residents of Townsend.
We enjoyed beautiful sunshine, good food, plenty of laughter and some really meaningful conversation. ☀️
We were pleased to see two local police officers passing by on horseback during their patrols. They kindly waved to us, and I reassured them that we were all behaving ourselves — so nothing to worry about!
I was joined by our Deputy Manager, Mirela, alongside David, our handyman, and Dylon, one of our carers. It was wonderful for us all to come together and enjoy this well‑earned time in such lovely company.
A truly special and memorable afternoon for everyone involved 💛
