Townsend House are currently looking for raffle prize donations for our upcoming Summer Fete on Saturday 20th June and would really appreciate your support 💙

We are kindly asking for donations of any new and unopened items such as:
🍫 Chocolates
🍾 Bottles and gifts
🕯️ Candles and pamper items
🎁 Hampers and treats

All donations would be hugely appreciated and will help make our raffle extra special for the community.

I was delighted, as Home Manager, to spend a lovely afternoon out at the local Six Bells pub with Derek, Peter, Brenda and Kaz, our residents of Townsend.
We enjoyed beautiful sunshine, good food, plenty of laughter and some really meaningful conversation. ☀️
We were pleased to see two local police officers passing by on horseback during their patrols. They kindly waved to us, and I reassured them that we were all behaving ourselves — so nothing to worry about!
I was joined by our Deputy Manager, Mirela, alongside David, our handyman, and Dylon, one of our carers. It was wonderful for us all to come together and enjoy this well‑earned time in such lovely company.
A truly special and memorable afternoon for everyone involved 💛

🌟 Nutrition & Hydration Week – Mocktail Magic! 🍓🍊🍍✨
Today we celebrated Nutrition & Hydration Week in the best (and tastiest!) way possible… by creating our very own homemade mocktails! 🍹💛
Our residents had a brilliant afternoon mixing, tasting, and experimenting with a variety of fruity ingredients — including fresh berries, citrus juices, tropical flavours, sparkling water, mint, honey and colourful garnishes. The creativity flowed almost as much as the drinks!
We had plenty of laughs along the way too. At one point, Olive joked that she would be “half‑cut this afternoon!” — and we can confidently reassure everyone that not a single drop of alcohol was used. Just lots of flavour, fun, and plenty of hydration! 😄💧
Seeing our residents enjoying new tastes, reminiscing about favourite drinks, and engaging in a meaningful activity together was truly heart‑warming. These small moments bring smiles, connection, and wellbeing — which is exactly what Nutrition & Hydration Week is all about. 💙🌈

This week the team from Townsend House have been out in the community visiting some of our wonderful local neighbours and partners to say thank you for the important work they do in supporting people across our communities 💙

We stopped by the team at Slade Fire Station, the staff at Barton Surgery, and the Oxford Community Support Service, dropping off some treats as a small token of our appreciation.

It was a lovely opportunity to connect with the people and services who make such a difference every day. Thank you for everything you do to support our community.
