We had so much fun at our first Oxfordshire Play Association - OPA Play Day in Brize Norton at the weekend. We had lots of lovely activities for the little ones to enjoy and it was great to meet so many of you.

Our next will be on Saturday 4th July in Wheatley & Holton (all the details below) and we can't wait to see you there!

We’re feeling very excited this week… because on Friday we’re heading to the Oxford Business Awards as finalists in the 'Charity and Community Award' category sponsored by !! 🎉💛

It’s such an honour for our small but mighty charity to be recognised alongside so many brilliant organisations. Whether we win or not, being acknowledged in this way already feels like a huge achievement, and a wonderful celebration of our team, our volunteers and the families we support.

Volunteers’ Week has been such a wonderful chance to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy and heart to support us. We had the best time catching up with so many of our volunteers on our Wellbeing Walk at Blenheim Palace earlier this week. Not even the rain could dampen the mood...we're sure the tea and cake afterwards certainly helped too!

To all our volunteers: thank you! Your support, dedication and all‑round awesomeness make an enormous difference every single day. We’re so grateful for everything you do. Thanks for being part of the Home-Start Oxford family.

Our amazing volunteer Gail created this beautiful illustration to show what volunteering means to her, and we’re all totally in love with it! It captures so perfectly what we see every day...the kindness, warmth and heart our volunteers bring to Home‑Start Oxford.

From group volunteers to home‑visiting volunteers to our trustees, every single one plays a vital role in supporting local families. They are the heartbeat of Home‑Start, showing up week after week with compassion, energy and a genuine desire to make life a little easier for parents and young children.

We feel incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated team and we can’t thank them enough for everything they do.

We’re looking for two enthusiastic, caring people to help us deliver a brilliant summer of play, creativity and outdoor adventures for families with children aged 0–5. If you’re energetic, friendly and excited to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
