Saturday - 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM: Softcover Bookbinding Workshop
Join Jen Louise Meyer, for a softcover bookbinding workshop.
During this workshop, Jen will teach you the skills to make A6 sketchbooks using the Coptic binding method, the oldest binding technique. All materials and tools will be supplied, including a selection of Jen’s original lino prints to choose from for your book’s cover. You’ll have the opportunity to make more than one book if time allows.
Saturday - 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM: Divine Schism presents: Mermaid Chunky
Mermaid Chunky. It’s all in a name, sometimes. The danceable, costumed, curiosity rich duo of artists Freya Tate and Moina Moin are as imaginative as they profess. Or, to get more to the point, as we all need them to be. They’ll be joined by Oxford’s super outrageous techno-pop duo No Worries If Not for an unreal night of danceable, curious and imaginative live music!
Sunday - 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM: International Women’s Day Gala
Come celebrate International Women’s Day at The Nest with live music AND an exhibit of feminist writings and artwork! This mixed media gala will give everyone the opportunity to let loose, get dressed up, and remind themselves of the strong community we have in Oxford both in feminist and creative circles.
This event is presented to you by The Hot Mess Project, Oxford Feminist Society, Oxford Women of Colour Society and It Happens Here.
