In July 2011, a group of 13 Oxford students took part in a microfinance project in Ghana with Global Brigades. We helped to grow a newly-established community bank and to educate members of the community about the importance of saving and how to develop their businesses. By the end of our 10 day brigade, the bank had granted 6 loans to local micro-entrepreneurs! The community we were working in ha

d shockingly little access to clean water and healthcare. We want to run another project this year (2011/12). What do you think our priority should be: Water, Medical or Microfinance? Want more info? Get in touch!
