This is what pure happiness looks like ❤️
Not the dramatic kind, not the loud kind just the quiet kind.
The kind that comes from finally knowing you’re safe.
Eight years ago, Willow was the shy little barn cat nobody could get near.
For four or five years before that she lived as a working farm cat, earning her stripes the hard way.
She learned how to hunt, how to survive, how to look after herself, and probably learned not to trust too much either.
Then life changed, her farm closed and a lady who ran a very small rescue in her back garden in Cornwall stepped in.
A wonderful rescue cat worker called Jo spent time with her, worked with her, believed in her and gave her a chance.
And eventually Willow came home, not to a palace, not to anything fancy, just a family, and sometimes that’s the most important thing of all.

Over the last eight years she’s gone from a timid little farm/rescue cat who barely wanted to say hello, to a pampered princess who sleeps wherever she likes and acts like she jointly owns the neighbouring property.
She has her Queen Teen, the human she chose as her person all those years ago.
She has Mum, she has Dad and the two boys
She has Felix, despite regularly informing him that he’s an idiot!

She has Susan next door, who somehow became her best friend and favourite source of gossip, chicken and life advice, and is Susan’s personal pest control
She has sunny windowsills, soft beds and safe places to sleep, and people who love her exactly as she is.
Looking at this photo, fast asleep without a care in the world, it’s hard to believe this is the same little cat who once arrived at a rescue unsure of everything.
That’s why we’ll always be grateful to Jo, not just for rescuing her from the farm (Willow was refusing to go it took her a few days to get her)
But for seeing what was there before anyone else could, for taking the time and for having the patience.
For giving a shy little cat the chance she deserved, and for still keeping in touch with Mum all these years later.
We know you’ll probably be reading this Jo, so thank you for believing in her, and for helping her find her way home.

Because every cat deserves this, every nervous rescue hiding at the back of a pen.
Every feral cat that won’t make eye contact.
Every frightened little soul that nobody notices.
Sometimes all it takes is one person to be patient!
One family to say yes!
One chance and suddenly a cat that spent years surviving learns how to simply live.
Looking at Willow now, asleep with her little face squished into the sofa, completely relaxed and completely loved, I think that’s what happiness really is.
Not having the best start
Not having a perfect story
Just finding your people in the end ❤️

Six-month-old Sooty is ready for his new home. He has lived with Luna and Cleo all his life, so he could go with them, or as a singleton. Sooty is friendly, and is coming out of his shell. Do you have a soft spot for a little black kitten?

Three kitten siblings, born in March, would ideally like a home together. They are confident, outgoing and friendly, and are looking for a happy house with a safe garden. Mochi is the boy, and Miso and Muffin are his sisters. Would you like an instant cat family? Are you prepared for three large appetites and three litter boxes - and three times the fun and love?

Roy is a friendly, neutered two-year-old handsome ginger and white boy, who occasionally gets over-excited about his food and may raise a paw! His ideal home would involve a nice garden where he can roam and find his safe place. Could you be the one with the love and patience to help Roy find his forever home?
