This week, Charlene, one of our trustees, went to a special event at Broughton Castle! 🏰

The event was held by Oxfordshire Community Foundation to thank their donors, supporters, and volunteers, and to celebrate the amazing work of local charities like My Life My Choice, who they have funded over the years.

Charlene spoke to lots of people and told them about the Health and Happiness project.

She shared how the project has helped her and other members feel more knowledgeable, confident and supported when it comes to looking after their minds and bodies.

We are so proud of Charlene for using her voice and representing MLMC.

Say hello to our newest Gig Buddy pair, Hannah and Katie! 🤩

They celebrated their first meet‑up with a proper girls’ day, a lovely meal followed by a trip to the cinema. Lots of chatting, laughs, and the start of a genuine new friendship.

This is what Gig Buddies is all about: connection, confidence, and having fun out in the community. All the things most of us take for granted!

We’re looking for more volunteers so more people with learning disabilities can enjoy fun days out like this.

Everyone should feel safe in their town.

Come for a walk around Didcot with us.
We will look at places that feel safe and places that could be safer.

The police and District Council will come too.
They can help answer questions about safety.

Our trustee and campaign champion, Abul, visited Oxford Train Station to see how easy it is to use.

Stay safe in the sun this summer!

As the weather continues to warm up, it’s important to look after ourselves and each other.
