We love seeing pictures of our Gig Buddy pairs out and about together!

Becoming a Gig Buddy volunteer might seem scary, but to put it simply, it's just hanging out with someone who likes the things that you do!

The photos speak for themselves on how well it works.

If you have a couple of hours a month to hang out with a buddy, reach out to us and we will be happy to pair you up with someone.

Have you heard about our Travel Buddy scheme? 🚆🚌

Through peer-to-peer travel training, our paid trainers help people with learning disabilities build the skills and confidence to travel independently.

Travel Buddies Pam and Jordan have been helping Lydia master her commute to work!

Since her training, she’s already conquered the train part all by herself and is now tackling the bus route next.

Huge well done to Lydia and her Travel Buddies! 🎉

We have some sad news.

We are sorry to share that Nigel, who many of you will know, sadly passed away recently.

Nigel was an active member of MLMC and had been a Trustee, Campaign Champion and Health Trainer for many years.

He was involved in many of our projects and was a key voice for adults with learning disabilities.

Nigel was also a friend to many of us, and we will miss him greatly.

We will share the details of his funeral when we have them.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

Last week, we went to The Saltways Charity Film Festival!

Even though we didn't win, we are so proud to have been one of the finalists in the Best Co-Created Film category.

It felt extra special because working together is at the heart of everything we do.

Oxford didn’t know what hit it! 🎧✨🕺

We recently took over the streets for a Walking Silent Disco!

Complete with headphones, glow sticks, and lots of energy.

We had so much fun dancing and singing through town.

The best part? Watching people’s reactions go from "What is happening?" to smiles 😄

MLMC is 100% user-led. This means it is run by our members!

Every November at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), members vote for 15 trustees.

What does a trustee do?
- Meet 5 times a year.
- Make big decisions about our charity.
- Decide which projects to run and how to spend money.

Yazz is hosting a free trustee workshop for our members!
