Sustainable Wheatley New members and ideas welcome.

We are a group of local residents who run projects and events in the village such as Swap Shops, Litter Picking, Fruit Harvesting, Great Big Green Week, and monitoring the River Thame.

BIKE & SCOOTER EXCHANGE.
FREE CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES, colourful gift and craft stalls, advice and information, plant stalls.LIVE MUSIC, including the Chinnor Silver Training Band and Village Voices Community Choir, Towersey.
REFRESHMENTS available throughout the day, including homemade soups and rolls, cakes and a variety of drinks.
RECYCLING - You can also deposit any of the following items for recycling on the day: household batteries, CDs, used postage stamps, foreign coins and old reading glasses.
ENTRANCE FREE
Organised by Chinnor and Thame Friends of the Earth.

Thanks to all who helped and attended our Swap Shop on Saturday. We had 138 customers through the door, and they took away 701 kg of items to re-use.

Also thanks to the Wheatley Explorer Scouts who provided refreshments, which they plan to do again at out next Swap Shop in July.

Sustainable Wheatley AGM on Wednesday 15th April, 19:30 in the Merry Bells Coffee Room, High Street, Wheatley.

The meeting is open to all and if anyone is keen to either help us with our current activities or wants to start new initiatives for our group do please come along.

We will be electing a new Chair. Our chair stepped down some time ago and whilst the group has continued to run all our existing projects, we are looking for someone with the drive, knowledge and initiative to take us forward and grow the group.

The next Swap Shop will be on Saturday 25th April.
