Welcome to Disrupt Disinformation! We are a new initiative to reduce the impact of disinformation and fake news on public discourse. We experiment with different online tools to find individuals who are searching for disinformation and redirect them towards more accurate, reliable sources of information. We don’t want to ‘re-educate’ but we hope to use facts, data, and common sense to show online users why disinformation and fake news stories are false. To limit the impact of indirectly spreading such stories, we strive not to reproduce disinformation or fake news in the process.
