Hello doodlers — we hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas and you're having a great start to 2026.

Over the past year, the founders have had many conversations about the future of Oxford Doodle Club.
While 2024 and 2025 saw some of our most successful and well-attended events, they also made us reflect honestly on our capacity to run them. After much thought, we’ve decided that Oxford Doodle Club will no longer be running in-person meetups from this year.

Our Discord and online spaces will remain open for anyone who’d like to stay connected with the community.

This isn’t goodbye — just the end of one chapter as we move on to new creative adventures.

As 2025 comes to a close, we'd like to thank every artist that came to our events, tables, and workshops this year! 💙

A big thank you to our venues - lock29.banbury, Bridge Street Garden Banbury , Oxford City Farm, Pitt Rivers Museum Compton Verney, and Tap Social Movement - you're support as always is incredible and we'd have no club without your generosity.

We hope you all have a fantastic holiday, and a very happy 2026!

Below is some last minute housekeeping...

📯 Please bring your tickets tomorrow, or let us know your name and we can check you into the venue. Once that is done, you're free to come and go as you like.

🎟 TICKET HOLDERS:
If you have booked your tickets, please arrive at 11am (or as close as you can) so we can scan your tickets, get you seated, and that you have time to get drinks or snacks. We ask that you kindly line up against the wall near the entrance to the screening room until we usher you in.
🫂 If you need assistance, our ODC founders or volunteers will be on hand to assist you and get you settled

🎫 NON-TICKET HOLDERS:
We have a few spaces left due to late cancelations, so head to our ticket page (link is in our bio on our main feed).
🫂 For anyone who turns up without a ticket, please wait on the right side of the entrance door, so we can seat you if there is room once everyone has arrived.

Happy to announce our next Oxford Doodle Club meet up, and this time we're heading back to lock29.banbury with the help of Tap Social Movement for a festive afternoon of fun, as we host a draw along whilst watching the 90s Christmas classic, Home Alone!

If you're attending this weekend's meet-up at Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, here are some things to remember before you arrive...

✏️ Our meet-up will start at 10am, please arrive at least 15 minutes before so we can check you in.
Mat and Laura will be there to greet you, and will remain outside for a short time if you arrive late too.

👫 Pitt Rivers is located inside the Natural History Museum, so we will be meeting outside the main entrance to the Natural History museum at 10am. We will then head on in together to explore and draw in small groups, and hopefully base ourselves on the 2nd floor where we'll hopefully be able to use workshop/learning table that overlooks the museum.

🎨 If you are confident and wish to explore on your own then you are welcome to do this, otherwise our organisers will be bring some paper and colouring sheets, but please bring your own sketchbooks/digital tablets and drawing materials.

❌️ The museum is fine with dry materials like pencils, biros, and brush pens - but they do not allow PAINTS or wet art materials to be used in the galleries.
