The Teddies for Loving Care Ambassadors here in Oxfordshire keep our local MIU and A&E departments fully stocked with Teddies for Loving Care.

There are seasonal highs and lows, and of course the school holidays mean there are lots more junior patients needing the comfort and coziness of a TLC Teddy.

Medical, XRay and nursing staff say… “We couldn’t be without them…”

Oxfordshire Freemasons and their families donate about 6,000 fresh and furry Teddies every single year.

A TLC Teddy’s Journey

On Saturday at our Teddies for Loving Care display gazebo, we were delighted to welcome Reuben and his mum to our Oxfordshire TLC event at Witney Carnival.

After an injury to his forehead, baby Reuben received hospital treatment, and during the process he was given a TLC Teddy to comfort him.

It worked immediately!

As his mum tells us, that teddy has been loved ever since and is still very much part of the family today.

Seeing Reuben standing beside his photograph taken during his hospital stay was a wonderful reminder of why Oxfordshire Freemasons donate more than 6,000 TLC Teddies to local NHS hospitals every year.

Our TLC Teddy Ambassadors keep every A&E and MIU permanently stocked up.

Every TLC Teddy represents a frightened child, a caring healthcare professional, and a family who needed a little comfort at exactly the right moment.

We love seeing you when we’re out and about in Oxfordshire.
