This month we are joined by Sam Grady from A Healthier Earth to tell us about the 'Forest Factory' project he founded four years ago.

Learn how AHE and Blenheim Palace have teamed up to pioneer the application of vertical farming technology to the forestry sector.

Their team of scientists are growing high-quality climate-resilient nursery stock at 4 times the pace of traditional nurseries while restoring native species to the area.

Their work represents a new era for UK forestry and will be critical to combatting the looming impacts of climate change.

For the groups running projects in South Oxfordshire, the NATURE AND CLIMATE ACTION FUND is now open from South Oxfordshire District Council

Apply for grants between £250 and £10,000 per project.

Nature recovery and community access to nature are possible areas of focus.

DEADLINE: 20 November 2026

Applications are now open!

Our Nature and Climate Action Fund is now open for applications! Grants of £250 to £10,000 are available for community projects that help tackle climate change and support nature recovery across South Oxfordshire.

Projects don’t need to be big – funding is available for ideas of all sizes.

Max will give a 15-minute presentation on the biodiversity monitoring methods that ITF have developed, and share some of the conclusions that the data has already helped to inform in the last year.

Please join Max from the International Tree Foundation, Lorraine from The Hill Banbury and Tila from Bridge Street Garden for a relaxed wellbeing walk 🌿🌳

We’ll have a wander, learn a bit about the trees around us and collect a few seeds that we can grow and eventually plant locally.
