We were delighted and honoured to welcome George, Willow and their handler, Paul, to our Oundle social group this week.

Together, they work tirelessly to detect drugs and illegal to***co at premises and events across the country, helping to uncover criminal activity and keep our communities safer.

🌱 Get Growing with Green Patch! 🌱

Volunteer Action is delighted to be working with Green Patch in Kettering, bringing people together through the power of nature, community, and volunteering.

🚐 FREE transport is available every Thursday from Thrapston to Green Patch, making it easy for you to get involved!

As a volunteer, you can:
🌿 Grow, plant, harvest, and care for vegetables, fruit, and flowers.
🥕 Help prepare nutritious meals using fresh produce grown on site.
🦋 Support local wildlife through habitat creation and species monitoring.
🪵 Take part in craft and woodwork projects.
🎉 Help at community events.
🧘 Enjoy Tai Chi, yoga, and mindfulness sessions.
💬 Share your ideas at monthly volunteer forums.
🤝 Build friendships across generations at regular social events.

Whether you're looking to learn new skills, meet new people, improve your wellbeing, or simply spend time outdoors, there's something for everyone.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!!

📣 Here's the line up for the market tomorrow, Saturday 1st August! The weather is due to be lovely and sunny, but not too hot and there will be lots of delicious produce from our lovely local suppliers & producers! 😋

👉 The stalls will be set up on the cobbles and also over near the library end so you can have a good wander and pick up some weekend treats! Volunteer Action East Northamptonshire will be set up outside Bletsoes.

😀Pop down and support our local businesses, visit the lovely High Street shops and then of course you might want to have a well deserved cuppa at one of the eateries in town! We'll be on the High Street 9am to 1pm! ☀😋

60 miles in 2 days completed by the amazing Carl, Vic & Penny! Joined by lots of supporters (Kev being one here) who joined them for walking and running along the way.

Amazing amount of funds raised for Volunteer Action and still plenty of time to add to the fund!

25th July sees the team sky dive at Sibson Airfield!! Please show your local support by giving a donation towards the work they are doing!

The first 18 miles completed by the amazing Ultra Marathon runners!! 🏃 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ - 60 miles will be completed by the end of tomorrow! There is till time to pledge some funds to this challenge in aid of Volunteer Action!!
