For the fourth consecutive year, an RJAH registrar has had the opportunity to take part in the prestigious AO Travelling Fellowship - funded by the Orthopaedic Institute 👏

Srin Cheruvu spent two weeks at the AO Research Institute in Davos, Switzerland, gaining insight into world-leading research and innovation in areas such as regenerative medicine, biomechanics, implant development and infection prevention.

The fellowship is helping to build international connections, strengthen research opportunities and bring valuable knowledge and experience back to RJAH 🔬

On behalf of the Orthopaedic Institute Ltd and in particular the staff and patients of the Orthotic Research & Locomotor Assessment Unit, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Professor John Patrick retired Consultant of The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital for his incredibly generous donation of £160,000 to be used to support research in the ORLAU department.
The support we receive makes a meaningful difference to the work we do. As you can appreciate, ORLAU is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with mobility challenges through innovative gait analysis, rehabilitation, and assistive technology. Contributions help us to continue to develop and deliver life-changing treatments, develop engineering solutions and invest in advanced research, and support patients and their families on their journey to greater independence and wellbeing.
We are truly grateful for Professor Patrick’s kindness. Thanks to supporters like Professor Patrick, we are able to push the boundaries of clinical practice and give hope to those who rely on our services.
