Happy International Women’s Day 💜

A shoutout to all the women who balance so much, the endless pull between pursuing dreams and raising a family.

For me, it’s the constant balance between the needs of my kids, my cows, the farm and land. It hasn’t always been easy. There have been times when working the farm meant being pulled away from the George and Amber, and I worried that has created resentment or affect their love for the land and the animals.

But I am begin to see with time, and with their growing understanding of our world and of the important work we do, that feeling has slowly turned into appreciation. It’s been a hard road to navigate, but I think we’re getting there.

Today I also want to say that the Woman of the Year for me is of course my mum — someone who follows her heart and keeps battling on regardless of whatever obstacles life throws her way. An incredible person who I love very very much.

Strong women grow more than families — they grow futures, roots, and resilience. 💜

Early start for us, Adam is working away, so we are all up and off to check and feed our new arrival. We can report he is definitely improving still not on his feet but be was more determined this morning and getting stronger ❤️ 🐮

🔥 Casha Bowles-Jones is walking across FIRE for Babbinswood Farm 🔥

On 28th March 2026, she will be taking part in a charity fire walk to raise funds for us, Babbinswood Farm Community Benefit Society.

Babbinswood Farm Community Benefit Society is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, working to keep as much land at Babbinswood Farm organic and available for the community.

Casha is known as a bit of a daredevil — but fire absolutely terrifies her.

So this challenge will really push her to dig deep and face a real fear, all to help raise funds for my family’s farm and the community around it.

Wishing you all a very happy SHROPSHIRE DAY! 💙💛

From the iconic silhouette of The Wrekin and the breathtaking Shropshire Hills to ancient peatlands and wild, dramatic uplands, our landscapes deserve to be celebrated. A destination brimming with talented independents and a well-earned reputation as one of the UK’s great ‘foodie’ counties, Shropshire is full of character and creativity.

But what truly defines us isn’t just our scenery or our local produce, it’s our community spirit. Every day, we see Salopians supporting one another through grassroots projects, local charities, village halls, youth clubs and community groups. It’s that generosity and willingness to show up for each other that makes Shropshire extraordinary.

We’re proud to work alongside businesses, donors and volunteers who believe in strengthening our county from the ground up.

Shropshire Day was created in honour of St. Milburga, the Benedictine abbess of Wenlock, who is known for several miracles, including some connected to running water. Given the amount of rainfall we’ve seen in Shropshire recently, it’s safe to say her influence is still flowing strong!
