We are delighted to be awarded funding by Ellesmere Town Council and Ellesmere Rotary assuring we can continue our teaching of cello, violin and singing at Ellesmere Primary. We hear from the school how much the children enjoy and benefit from the lessons. We are very grateful to the people of Ellesmere for this support. A massive thank you to Ridgeway Chorale for coming all the way from Hertfordshire to raise funds for us with a fabulous concert of a wide variety of music yesterday in Oswestry.
The Music MOB students that took part were fabulous, and it provided them with wonderful opportunity to perform in public before an audience.

The Easter holidays are nearly over which means our fantastic Music MOB tutors will soon be back in schools working with our brilliant students! 🎶

We hope everyone has had a great break and managed to enjoy some well earned rest (and maybe even a bit of practice too 👀).

We’re excited to get back to making music again and seeing all the progress our students have made!

Oswestry Youth Music Festival has been happening this week and Music MOB students have been performing. Amongst other wonderful and confident performances today we have had a first place (on clarinet) and second place (on cello) in the 9 and under instrumental beginner solo. Pictured is Chloe with her certificate awarding her a terrific Merit mark. A stunning result for our very young early learners and their dedicated teachers

Very excited as we have more entries than ever! Watch this space

Next week sees the start of Oswestry Youth Music Festival – 2-8 March 🥳

As entries have climbed again this year, the festival is expanding to a week-long programme with performances daily across four venues in the town centre.

560 entries from 52 schools and colleges across England, Wales and Norway, plus home-schooled students will compete across more than 90 classes, from solo instrumental and vocal performances to choirs, bands and ensembles.

Entry is free and you are welcome along to enjoy the music 🥰
