Appley Bridge Womens Institute Appley Bridge Womens Institute is a branch of the National Federation of Womens Institutes (NFWI). Appley Bridge WI is part of the National Federation of WIs.

We meet on the second Wednesday of every month 19.30 at Appley Bridge Village Hall. Our meetings include a speaker or activity, national and local items of WI business and social time with refreshments. We also run a range of activities outside the monthly meetings such as craft, reading, walking and trips.

Our listing in Local Life this month has an unfortunate error. Our September meeting is not on Wednesday the 19th, which of course does not exist. In fact the September meeting has already taken place on Wednesday the 9th. We meet on the second Wednesday of the month in Appley Bridge Village Hall at 7.30pm. Visitors are always welcome.

Our programme secretaries played a blinder last night and asked Diane from Avant Garden Centre at Leyland to give us a talk at just the right time of year. Diane was amazing - she brought a beautiful array of plants and showed us how to put them together for best effect. A treat for our keen (and not so keen) gardeners alike, thank you.
