📖 Day 30 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 46–47, a chapter of reunion, reassurance, and provision — where God meets His people in a new land. We’re using the EasyEnglish Bible (2024)

💬 “God said, ‘I am God. I am the God that your father worshipped. Do not be afraid to go to Egypt. Your descendants will be very many so that you become a great nation there. I will go with you to Egypt. I will also bring you back again. Joseph will be with you when you die.’” (Genesis 46:3–4)
God doesn’t just send us — He goes with us.

🫂 “Joseph prepared his chariot and he went to Goshen to meet Jacob, his father. When they met, Joseph hugged his father and he wept for a long time.” (Genesis 46:29)
Tears, hugs, and healing — after years apart.

🍞 “Joseph also sent food to his father, his brothers and all his father’s people. He gave them enough food for themselves and all their children.” (Genesis 47:12)
God provided through Joseph — more than enough.

📖 Day 28 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 42–43, where Joseph’s past meets his present. His brothers don’t know who he is — but Joseph remembers everything. We’re using the EasyEnglish Bible (2024).

🙇‍♂️ “Joseph had authority to rule Egypt at that time. He was the man who sold food to all the Egyptians. When Joseph’s brothers arrived there, they bent down in front of him, with their faces to the ground.” (Genesis 42:6)
The dream is fulfilled — but the pain still lingers.

😢 “Joseph went away from his brothers and he began to weep. But then he returned to speak to them again. While they watched, Joseph told his men to tie Simeon with ropes and take him away.” (Genesis 42:24)
Mercy and memory often walk side by side.

🍽 “The brothers sat in a place where Joseph could see them. The servants told them where to sit, by the age of each one. The oldest brother sat at one end, all along to the youngest brother at the other end. The brothers were very surprised to see this.” (Genesis 43:33)
God was arranging things — even the seating.

📖 Day 26 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 39–40, following Joseph’s journey through slavery and prison — and seeing how God stays with him. We’re using the EasyEnglish Bible (2024).

🌟 “The Lord was with Joseph. He gave Joseph success in everything he did.” (Genesis 39:23)
Even in hard places, God’s presence brings strength and success.

💬 “Joseph said to the cupbearer, ‘Remember me when you do well.’” (Genesis 40:14)
Joseph hopes for a second chance, trusting God’s timing.

🙏 “Joseph said, ‘God will surely help you.’” (Genesis 40:19)
Faith brings hope, even when the future feels uncertain.

📖 Day 25 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 37–38, diving into Joseph’s story and Judah’s family challenges. We’re using the EasyEnglish Bible (2024).

💔 “Joseph’s brothers saw that their father loved him more... So they hated Joseph.” (Genesis 37:4)
Pain often begins close to home — but so does God’s work.

💸 “They sold him... The men took Joseph to Egypt.” (Genesis 37:28)
Sold. Forgotten. But not by God.

👀 “What Onan did was bad, and the Lord was not pleased with him.” (Genesis 38:10)
God’s justice matters, even when people ignore what is right.

💭 Reflection:
How do we hold on to hope when people let us down?

📖 Day 24 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 34–36 — a journey through grief, worship, and identity. We’re using the EasyEnglish Bible (2024).

🔥 “They took their animals, and everything that was in the city and in the fields.” (Genesis 34:28)
Anger can explode into action. Jacob’s sons respond to injustice with destruction — but was this justice or revenge?

🛐 “We will go to Bethel. I will build an altar there for God. He has helped me during times of trouble.” (Genesis 35:3)
After the storm, Jacob turns back to God — not with perfection, but with purpose.

🌅 “God said to him, ‘Your name is Jacob. But you will not be called Jacob any longer. Your name will be Israel.’” (Genesis 35:10)
God doesn’t just move the story forward — He gives Jacob a new name, a new future.

💭 Reflection: How do we move forward after moments of pain, change, or loss?

📖 Day 23 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 31–33, where Jacob leaves Laban and prepares to meet his brother Esau — unsure of what will happen. We’re using the EasyEnglish Bible (2024).

🧭 “Then the Lord said to Jacob, ‘Go back to the land of your fathers. Go to your own people. I will be with you.’” (Genesis 31:3)
God tells Jacob to return — and promises to be with him on the way.

🙏 “You have always loved me. You have continued to be kind to me. I do not deserve this.” (Genesis 32:10)
Even while afraid, Jacob thanks God for His kindness and love.

🤝 “But Esau ran to meet Jacob. He put his arms round Jacob’s neck and he kissed him. Then they both wept.” (Genesis 33:4)
This moment isn’t just about family — it’s about peace after fear, and grace after conflict.

💭 Reflection: What does it take to rebuild broken trust?

📖 Day 22 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 29–30, a story of waiting, love, and how God is present even in complicated relationships. We’re using the EasyEnglish Bible (2024).

🕰️ “Jacob worked for seven years so that he could marry Rachel. He loved her so much that the time seemed like only a few days.” (Genesis 29:20)
Love makes waiting feel lighter — even when the journey is long.

💔 “The Lord saw that people did not love Leah, so he gave her children.” (Genesis 29:31)
Even when others overlook us, God sees. He gives value where the world withholds it.

🌿 “Then God decided to help Rachel. He listened to her and he let her become pregnant.” (Genesis 30:22)
In the silence and waiting, God had not forgotten. He hears and answers.

💭 Reflection: What does it mean to be seen and remembered by God?

📖 Day 21 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 27–28, a story of deception, broken trust — and a God who still draws near. We’re reading from the EasyEnglish Bible (2024).

😠 “He has cheated me two times!” (Genesis 27:36)
Esau is heartbroken. Family betrayal cuts deep.

🔥 “Esau decided to kill Jacob.” (Genesis 27:41)
Anger boils over — and Jacob runs for his life.

🌟 “I will be with you. I will protect you everywhere that you go.” (Genesis 28:15)
Even after deception, God meets Jacob in the wilderness. His grace goes further than our failure.

💭 Reflection: Can God still be with us when we’ve made mistakes?

📖 Day 20 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 25–26, where small choices carry lasting weight — and God stays present through it all. We’re reading from the EasyEnglish Bible (2024).

⚖️ “The Lord said to Rebekah. ‘Two nations are in your body… the older son will serve the younger.’ (Genesis 25:23)
Even before birth, the future was shifting — and God was already at work.

🍲 “So Esau sold his rights as the first son to Jacob.” (Genesis 25:34)
One quick decision changed everything.

🌙 “Do not be afraid. I am with you and I will bless you.” (Genesis 26:24)
God’s presence brings peace, even in conflict and uncertainty.

💭 Reflection: How do your choices shape your direction?

📖 Day 19 – Bible in Chronological Order

Today we’re reading Genesis 22–24, where deep faith meets divine provision. We’re using the EasyEnglish Bible (2024).

🕊️ “God himself will provide the lamb.” (Genesis 22:8)
Abraham walked in trust — not knowing what would happen next.

🌿 “So Abraham called that place ‘The Lord Provides’.” (Genesis 22:14)
God’s faithfulness shows up right on time.

🙏 “Please help me today.” (Genesis 24:12)
Even everyday prayers matter. God listens.
