Update: We have had to close applications because of a high number of applications.

We have now received more funding for the Household Support Fund Round 7. We will be processing applications that were made in the summer but not paid out, and are now accepting new applications.

🌱 Save the Bridge Community Centre 🌱

The Bridge in Tressell was built with public funds for the people of North East Hastings. It has been closed for more than seven years, even though a covenant requires it to be open for community use at least 20 hours a week under The Parchment Trust.

The Parchment Trust is a respected local charity, supporting hundreds of vulnerable people across our area. Their work matters — but selling The Bridge for £650,000 would be a mistake. This building was gifted for community use, not for sale.

Local Green councillors Councillor Julia Hilton, Councillor Glenn Haffenden and Councillor Natalie Gaimster are calling on the Trust to pause this sale and work with councillors, our MP, East Sussex County Council, Hastings Borough Council, and local groups to secure a long-term future for the centre.
