🌱 We’re delighted to announce that we have received funding for another year of our early intervention work across Fermanagh & Omagh!
Following the huge success of last year’s programme and the amazing feedback from parents who attended, we are so excited to be able to bring it back for another year, and this year, we’re going even bigger!
The wonderful Shannon Hollywood, Behaviour Consultant, will once again be facilitating our early intervention behavioural programme, helping parents and professionals to see behaviour through a different lens and understand how we can support children from an early age to manage emotions in healthy ways, develop respectful relationships and build stronger futures.
Because ending violence against women and girls doesn’t begin when violence happens.
It begins much earlier.
It begins in childhood.
In how we teach children to understand and manage emotions.
How we respond to anger, frustration and conflict.
How we model boundaries and respect.
How we teach empathy, communication and healthy relationships.
This year, there will be even more opportunities to get involved:
🌱 Raising Emotionally Resilient Children – funded workshops supporting parents to understand emotions, behaviour and regulation and build the foundations for healthy relationships.
🌱 Beyond the Behaviour – training helping professionals understand what sits underneath children’s behaviour and how our responses can support emotional and social development.
🌱 Dads Programme – creating dedicated spaces for dads and male caregivers to learn, reflect and recognise the incredibly important influence they have in shaping the next generation.
🌱 Community Staff Development Programme – available to anyone working with children and young people, including schools, childcare settings, community organisations, sports clubs, coaches and youth organisations.
Following the success of last year, we’d love to see even more parents, professionals and community organisations take advantage of this opportunity.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of it. 🌱
If your school, organisation, childcare setting, sports club or community group would like to get involved or arrange a funded workshop, please contact Shannon directly, who will be coordinating the programme and managing all workshop bookings.
A huge thank you to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council for their continued funding and support. Without it, programmes like this simply wouldn’t be possible.
If we want to create safer, healthier communities for the next generation, we have to start early.
As parents, teachers, coaches, childcare workers and community leaders, we are planting the seeds of change every day.
When we help children grow up understanding emotions, boundaries, respect, empathy and healthy relationships, we aren’t just supporting the children in front of us today.
We are helping to shape the adults, relationships and communities of tomorrow. 🌱
And that is where real, lasting change begins.
