What a joyful story thank you for that. Its wonderful for children to be raised with animals, lucky child and lucky cat.
Picture a baby photo from 2006, a tiny kitten sitting beside him on the floor. Now picture that same photo taken again twenty years later, same pose, same spot, only now there's a grown man's face where the baby's used to be, and an old cat with the same watchful eyes looking back at the camera. Twenty years is an entire life's worth of change, different homes, different versions of yourself, people who came and went.
Through all of it, in this kind of story, the cat is the one constant. We talk a lot about how short a cat's life can feel, but the idea of one who stayed for decades is a reminder of how deeply an animal can become woven into someone's actual story, not just a presence in it, but part of the timeline itself.
