Saddleworth Round Table Since 1958 Saddleworth Round Table has raised and donated thousands of pounds to local good causes and charities in Saddleworth and Oldham.

Saddleworth Round Table is part of a world wide movement and open to men up to the age of 45. Our reputation precedes us as being the organisation behind the great Saddleworth Beerwalk which existed over 4 decades and raised thousands of pounds for local causes. We meet on a regular social basis to discuss how we donate the monies raised and come up with new great ideas to raise more funds. It's a

friendly and sociable way of making new friends and having the feel-good-factor of giving something back to your community and the people of it.

A charity duck race at Saddleworth Marina Artisan Market proved a successful fundraiser for local good causes while providing plenty of entertainment for visitors.

The event was organised jointly by Saddleworth Round Table and Saddleworth Rotary, with crowds gathering at the marina to take part in the popular attraction.

Thanks to the warm weather and festival atmosphere at the artisan market, ticket sales were brisk throughout the day as visitors backed their chosen ducks in support of local charities.

A very happy Yorkshire Day to you all!

Tomorrow morning is the traditional ceremony and declaration at the statue of Ammon Wrigley, , at 11:30am.

Then the Saddleworth Marina Artisan Market Greenfield will have a selection of activities and attractions all day.

Then the headline event of the day - our Duck Race with Rotary Club will be at 3pm.

Due to the low water levels we are experiencing we have a back up plan for our Rubber Duck Race on 2nd August 2026! 🦆🛶

We will be hosting it in the Marina basin on Market Day.

We will also be marking Yorkshire Day on this occasion and are proud to support the traditional declaration in the morning!

Kirsten’s Dance Academy triumph at World Cup

We’ve been delighted to hear the Kirsten’s Dance have been so successful at the Dancing World Cup!

Kirsten and some of her students visited us back in February to ask for £2100 to support students to go to the World Championships. We were very impressed by the confidence all representatives and had to offer our support.

We’ve just found out they had an amazing week away, coming back with 5th and 8th in the WORLD! And one of the dances coming 3rd overall!

We’re amazed by all the work you guys do, and hope you can continue your success into the future!

We are incredibly proud to announce our latest donation to the 7th Manchester Scout Group!
Every child deserves the chance to experience the magic of summer camp—sitting around the campfire, sleeping under the stars, and building lifelong friendships. That’s why we’ve stepped in with a donation of £1,000 to help fund places for children who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to attend due to financial circumstances
