PODD 2-DAY WORKSHOP RETURNS IN OCTOBER!

We're delighted to say that we will be running our popular Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) workshop again on the 27/28th October at our Oldham location!

Delivered by certified PODD trainers, the course combines theory, practical strategies and real-world application to support participants in designing, developing and implementing effective communication systems. Throughout the two days, you will gain insight into the principles that underpin PODD, including how vocabulary is organised, how layouts and access methods are structured, and how these elements can be tailored to meet individual needs. The course also highlights the importance of creating rich language-learning environments and using receptive language input to foster meaningful communication.

This course is ideally suited to professionals, carers and support teams who work with individuals requiring comprehensive communication systems.

Communication Works North 2026 - THANK YOU! 👏

We can't believe it's been a whole week already since this year's Communication Works North in Oldham!

There's a few thank you's that we need to give out to those who made the event possible. First off, a big thank you to the staff at Oldham Event Centre at Oldham Athletic FC who helped us in our move to a bigger venue and supported us every step of the way to make sure everything went off without a hitch, not an easy feat! Another big thank you is owed to Ryan, Katy, Tina and the staff here at Ace Centre who helped to organise and run the event in such a professional manner. A special thanks goes to Carly Hynes for delivering a brilliant keynote address and sharing her experiences with our attendees.

We'd also like to take a moment to thank all the exhibitors who showcased and presented their work, tech, resources and experiences and made this year's event the biggest we've ever done.

Lastly, and most importantly, we'd like to thank all of you who attend and make this event what it is, it's amazing to see such a variety of people coming together to share their stories, knowledge, guidance, experiences and support, and finding out about the world of Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT), it really is about you at the end of the day!

Keep your eyes peeled for our full review in our blog coming shortly and watch this space for announcements relating to Communication Works 2027 later this year.

Once again, thank you for being a part of this incredible event and we'll see you soon...
