As part of our ongoing efforts to create better opportunities for our community, we had a very productive meeting with the First Choice Housing Association (FCHO) Community Engagement Team and MAHDLO Operations Manager, Ms. Kate Bennett.

We had a very open and constructive discussion where they kindly shared their valuable suggestions and expressed their continued commitment to supporting our initiatives for community development, particularly in assisting and empowering the local Afghan community.

سلامونه او درنښت،
تېره شپه د اولډهم افغان ټولنې اداري پلاوي د ځينو نور ملګرو پر ملتيا ګډه نوبتي ناسته درلوده.
ياده ناسته پدې بنياد ترسره شوه چې د مالي چارو لمړني حسابونه تصفيه او بشپړ کړي او د حساب ورکولو په حېث به ستاسو سره په ګروپ کې هم شريک کړل شي.

پدې ناسته کې د اداري پلاوی لخوا د هېواد یو تکړه ځوان او رزمي ورزشونو اتل عبدالولي محمدي ته هم بلنه ورکړې وه او نوموړي اتل آخري بریا یې په معنوي اعزاز یا ستاینلیک وستایه.

زمونږ وطنداران دې تل بریالي او مخکښ وي!

سلام‌ و احترامات،

شب گذشته هیئت اداری با حضور جمعی از سایر اعضا نشست نوبتی مشترکی برگزار نمود.
این نشست به‌ منظور تصفیه و تکمیل اولیه حسابات مالی دایر گردید که گزارش آن بزودی در گروپ با شما نیز شریک خواهد شد.

در این نشست، هیئت اداری از جوان شایسته و قهرمان رزمی کشور، عبدالولی محمدی، نیز دعوت بعمل آورده بود. این قهرمان گرانقدر به پاس آخرین موفقیت خود، با اهداي تقدیرنامه معنوی مورد ستایش و قدردانی قرار گرفت.

د ياد ټولنيز مرکز د پرانېستې مراسمو لپاره د سمې شاه او خوا ميشتو افغانانو ته د ګډونه بله ورکړل شوې وه.
چې له نېکمرغه ګڼ شمېر ځوانانو، مخورو مشرانو، او سپينږيرو پکې ګډون کړی وو.

د قران عظيم الشان له ختم روسته د يادې ټولنې د اقتصادي غښتلتيا کلتوري او نورو اړوند موضوعاتو په اړه د غونډې ګډونوالو خپل نظرونه او مشورې سره تبادله کړې.

Community Centre inauguration!

As you are aware, last week on Sunday, the 5th of October, the Afghan Community Oldham officially inaugurated its community centre with the blessed recitation and completion of the Holy Quran.

For the opening ceremony, an invitation was sent to Afghans living in and around the area.
Fortunately, a large number of elders, youths, and respected community members attended the event.

We are striving to deliver better services and have stronger coordination in the future with our Afghan Diaspora.

Last Eid Celebrations!

Afghan Community Oldham for the very first time successfully organised an Eid celebration for our fellow Afghans.
As part of the program, Eid gifts were distributed to children, adding joy to the occasion.

ACO aims to bring all Afghans together to celebrate National, cultural and religious celebrations.

Afghan Community Oldham (ACO) first elections were held in September 2022, marking the foundation of the community.

The second elections took place on 29th June 2025.
In total, around 170 members were registered to vote, of which 98 members participated in the election process on the voting day and cast their ballots.

As a result, Mohammad Essa Zazai was elected as chairman, Dawran Samm as Secretary, and Mobeen Khan Chakari as Treasurer, each securing 60 positive votes.

We wish the newly elected team success in their duties, responsibilities and hope they will work towards addressing the challenges and needs of Afghans residing in the United Kingdom.
