We are an animal charity established 2001, we take in and re-home unwanted and abandoned animals. We neuter, vaccinate and microchip all the animals in our care and vet all prospective homes to ensure suitability for animal and owner. We help as many animals as we possibly can, we do not have any age restrictions and never put any healthy animal to sleep. We neuter feral colonies and we also help people on low incomes to neuter their animals.

We currently have so many lovely, friendly and playful kittens looking for families of their own. ❤️

Poor Venus and Serena have now been with us for 3 weeks, which is practically unheard of for kittens! 😢 They are such gorgeous girls and really deserve to find their forever home soon.

All of our kittens are: 🐾 Health checked
🐾 Flea and worm treated
🐾 Vaccinated
🐾 Microchipped
🐾 Neutered once old enough

💙 Meet STORM! 💙

Storm is a beautiful 10-month-old female X-breed who has come into our care from one of the pounds we work with after being found as an unclaimed stray.

Storm is a lively but sweet, loving and loyal young girl who loves everyone she meets. ❤️

🐾 Storm weighs around 18kg. She is around Labrador size, but has a very slim, lightly built frame.

🐾 Storm is an active young dog who enjoys her walks, so she is looking for an active home where she can enjoy plenty of exercise and adventures.

🐾 She is social with other dogs on walks and is non-reactive.

🐾 She can be left for sensible periods of time once fully settled into her new home.

🐾 No young children – teenagers and above only due to Storm's boisterous nature.

🐾 Dog introductions can be arranged with a suitable dog of a similar size. Storm enjoys socialising and playing with other dogs.

🐾 Confident, dog-savvy cats may be considered.

Storm will be a lovely companion for the right family, but as she is still only very young, she needs a committed family who can provide her with the basic training, guidance and consistency she needs to become the best girl she can be. 💙

Our adoption fee for dogs is £250, which includes:

✔️ Vaccinations
✔️ Microchipping
✔️ Flea & worm treatment
✔️ Full veterinary health check

Please remember that adopting a rescue dog is a long-term commitment. We are looking for the right home for Storm rather than simply the first home available. 🏡

💙 Meet Bear! 💙

Bear is a gorgeous 8-month-old Pomeranian who has come into our care from one of the pounds we work with after being found as a stray and sadly never claimed.

This beautiful little boy is friendly, cheeky and playful, with plenty of fun and love to give. ❤️

Being just 8 months old, Bear is still very much a puppy and is looking for a family who understands the commitment involved in continuing his training, socialisation and development into a happy, well-rounded adult.

🐾 ABOUT BEAR:
• Loves his walks and is looking for an active home
• Loves meeting other dogs and enjoys playing with them
• Can live with other dogs following successful introductions
• Confident, dog-savvy cats may be considered
• Sensible children considered
• Travels well in the car when crated
• Can be left for sensible periods once he has settled into his new home

✂️ GROOMING REQUIREMENTS

Bear is a long-haired, double-coated breed and will require regular professional grooming to keep his coat healthy, comfortable and manageable.

His future family must be prepared for the ongoing cost of professional grooming, approximately every 8 weeks at around £40 per visit.

Please consider this ongoing expense carefully before applying.

💙 Meet Freddy! 💙

Freddy is a handsome nearly 3-year-old male French Bulldog who has come into our care from one of the pounds we work with after being found as an unclaimed stray.

When Freddy first arrived at the pound, he was a very scared and bewildered boy. He simply couldn’t understand what was happening or why he was there. The pound contacted us to see if we had room, as we are a much smaller and quieter rescue, in the hope that Freddy wouldn’t feel so overwhelmed.

Thankfully, since arriving with us, Freddy has done amazingly well and settled in really nicely. ❤️

Freddy is a sweet, loving and loyal little boy once he gets to know you. With new people, however, he can be nervous and needs a little time to feel safe and comfortable. Once he trusts you, his funny little personality really starts to shine through! 🥰

Freddy certainly has lots of character. Not only does he have a wonderfully funny personality, but his hilarious facial expressions will have you laughing every day! 😂💙

🐾 Freddy is an active little dog who enjoys his walks, but he isn't looking for extremely long walks all the time.
🐾 He is social with other dogs on walks and is non-reactive.
🐾 Can be left for sensible periods of time once fully settled into his new home.

🐾 ADOPTION APPEAL – SKYE & LIBERTY 🐾

Skye and Liberty are the last two kittens still waiting for their forever homes, and sadly, they have had no interest at all. 💔

These two beautiful 12 week old girls are both super friendly, affectionate and loving and would make wonderful additions to their new families. 🥰

🏡 Their adoption criteria:
• Suitable for any type of home
• Friendly and affectionate girls
• Can live with other pets
• Can be rehomed together or separately
• Looking for loving, responsible forever homes

When they arrived, the kittens had poorly eyes. These have now been treated, and they are not currently on medication for them. Skye has been left with some scarring over one eye, but this does not affect her in anyway and will require no treatment in the future.

💷 Adoption fee: £150 per kitten

Their adoption fee includes:
✔️ Full vet check
✔️ Flea and worm treatment
✔️ Full course of vaccinations
✔️ Microchipping
✔️ Spaying

We really don't understand why these lovely girls have had so little interest. They both deserve to be loved and cherished in their own forever homes. ❤️

This year, as we celebrate 25 years of rescue, care and second chances, we're inviting you to take on a challenge that will help change the lives of animals in need.

🐶 Walk 25 miles for Pennine Pen Animal Rescue!

You can complete your 25 miles...
🐾 All in one day.
🐾 Over a weekend.
🐾 Throughout a whole month.
🐾 With your dog, family or friends... or even on your own!

There are no rules about how you complete the challenge. Just choose a distance that works for you each day until you've reached your 25-mile goal.

Ask your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you and every pound raised will help us continue to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals who desperately need our help.

🎂 Happy 2nd Birthday Scooby! 🐾❤️

🎉 BIRTHDAY ANNOUNCEMENT! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating the very handsome Scooby, who is 2 years old today! 🥳🎂🐾

Scooby came to us as a tiny 10-week-old puppy from one of the pounds we work with, and he didn’t have to wait long before finding his forever home with one of our amazing volunteers. ❤️

And he certainly hasn’t looked back since! He couldn’t have wished for a better home, and it’s wonderful to see just how loved and happy he is. 🥰

Scooby has his big sister Penny, who was also adopted from us as a puppy at just 8 weeks old. 🐶❤️ He also has a whole gang of feline brothers and sisters, and of course we can’t forget Mindy the tortoise! 🐢😂

It’s safe to say Scooby is never short of company, friends or playmates! 🥰

This year we're celebrating 25 years of rescue, care and second chances, and we'd love you to be part of it.

Introducing Paws & Pastries... a simple, fun fundraiser that you can host in your workplace, school, community group, sports club or even at home. Gather friends, family or colleagues for a coffee morning, afternoon tea or cake and pastry sale, and help raise vital funds for the animals in our care.
