We are sharing details of the funeral arrangements for Peter Dean, former Councillor and Mayor of Oldham following a request from his family.

Peter was a dedicated councillor, a proud representative and much-valued member of our borough.

A service will be held at Oldham Parish Church on Rock Street, OL13UH at 10am on Thursday 15 October.

Following the service there will be a private committal at Oldham Crematorium for family and close friends only.

"Oldham Today" was presented by Gerald, Pat and David.

We opened with a piece of music by The Travelling Willburys, as it is the anniversary of Tom Petty (2017)

Our guest in the first section was Barbara Micklethwaite from The Royton Townswomens Guild and they have recently visited the Amazon Warehouse near Preston, a fascinating trip by all accounts. Their guest speaker at St. James, Thornhan next Tuesday is Kevin Fitzpatrick (7 for 7.30)
She the donned her other hat to tell us about Shaw Playhouse2. Their new play season opens this week with "The Unfriend."

Rachael captains the team but more than that she has been nominated and short listed for an award from Raising Rochdale for her commitment to sport in the borough.

Established in 1875, Dobcross Silver Band is a world-famous brass band proudly representing the small village community of Dobcross in the Saddleworth area of Oldham.
