Friday Fundraiser ⭐

This week we’re celebrating Safia’s Wish, who raised an amazing £3,000 for Maggie’s Oldham through a women’s cricket tournament.

Held in memory of Safia Hussain, the day brought people together to honour her incredible spirit and passion for supporting others. Safia was a driving force behind women’s cricket at Werneth Cricket Club and inspired so many through her kindness, determination, and community work.

It’s especially meaningful that the event supported Maggie’s, a charity that supported Safia during her illness and continues to help people living with cancer.
A huge thank you to everyone involved—what a wonderful way to celebrate Safia’s legacy 💛

Happy 9th Birthday, Maggie’s Oldham!

Today we celebrate nine incredible years of supporting people living with cancer, along with their family and friends, across Oldham, Rochdale and the surrounding communities.

Over the past nine years, Maggie’s Oldham has been a place of comfort, understanding, and support for thousands of people facing some of life’s toughest challenges. From expert practical advice and emotional support to simply providing a welcoming space and a listening ear, we have been here every step of the way.

None of this would have been possible without our amazing staff, volunteers, supporters, fundraisers, partners, and everyone who has walked through our doors. Thank you for being part of our Maggie’s family and helping us make a difference every single day.

As we celebrate this special milestone, we look forward to continuing our mission of ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone.

Here’s to nine wonderful years and many more to come!

We’re Looking for an Experienced Gardener at Maggie's in Oldham 🌿
Do you have a talent for keeping gardens healthy, vibrant, and beautiful? We’re looking for an experienced gardener to help maintain and develop our peaceful outdoor spaces, a vital part of the calm and welcoming environment we offer to people visiting the centre.
We’re looking for someone who can:

Take responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of our garden, including planting, pruning, weeding, watering, and seasonal care.
Plan and deliver a variety of seasonal gardening tasks, ensuring the garden looks its best all year round..
Carry out work safely and independently, with awareness of the environment and consideration for centre visitors.
Keep our outdoor areas tidy, well organised, and nurturing for wildlife and people alike.

You’ll play a key role in keeping our garden thriving, creating a space that brings comfort, beauty, and a sense of calm for everyone who walks through our doors.
