Behind Every Delivery, There’s a Lot You Don’t See
Whenever aid reaches its destination, people see the pictures, the videos, the smiles. But they don’t always see what happens behind the scenes. The risk, the pressure, the late night calls, and the weight of responsibility that comes with every campaign.
This Sudan deployment was our first time partnering with this particular charity team, and I want to acknowledge something openly. New partnerships come with real pressure. You worry if everything will go smoothly, especially when you can’t be on the ground yourself. You worry about the people on the ground taking risks to move aid through checkpoints and unstable areas. And you worry about your donors, because if anything goes wrong, it is on you to explain, take accountability, and deal with the consequences.
Alhamdulillah, this team delivered. They took genuine risks to reach Bahri and Kordofan, and they did it with honesty, professionalism, and heart. They honoured the trust our community placed in us.
To our donors.
Know that behind every successful drop off there are people navigating danger, negotiating access, and carrying the amanah with sincerity. We do not take your trust lightly. We do not take your donations lightly. And we do not take our partners lightly, especially the ones who step into difficult zones so our aid can reach those who truly need it.
May Allah protect those working on the ground and allow us to continue building partnerships that hold integrity, courage, and transparency at their core.
And we close with a reminder from Allah.
“They give food, out of love for Him, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive. They say, ‘We feed you only for the sake of Allah. We seek from you neither reward nor thanks.” Surah Al-Insān 8–9
This work is part of our iman and we carry it forward.
