Easter Litterpick Canceled
There will not be a litterpick on Saturday 4th April due to a lack of equipment. We have plenty of hoops and pickers, but not where they should be.
As many of you know, I no longer have a van or a driving licence. So Cath and Alan took over the logistics of managing the equipment. Alan fell off a step ladder and broke his shoulder and Cath does not think she can manage the journey and the faffing about that is associated with hooks, bags, pickers and hoops. (it's not as easy as it looks).
So therefore with great reluctance I must cancel our meeting as a group.

Nine of us turned out for our March Litter-pick today.
In all, 27 bags of rubbish were collected, mainly from Council land at the back of Titford Pools. Also 2 ASDA trolleys and 2 ALDI trolleys were returned to the respective stores.
Every one wos just wore out after that.
My thanks to Julie, Ann, Gillian, Vanessa, Cath, Paul, Colin, Alan and myself.

Saturday 7th March Litter pick - change of venue.
***Under the Pylon at Birchfield Lane end****
Same time, 10:30 until about 12:30. But just up the road from B&M and McDonalds.
There's loads to pick in the wooded area and on the far side of the pools, but it can be muddy if you stray of the path.
The rest of the tow path that we normaly cover is fairly tidy.

Today's February litterpick was moist! We avoided any major downpour, but it wasn't really dry either.
Nine people turned up to make Langley a little bit better. 15 bags of rubbish were collected plus a tyre, a shovel and 13 nitrous oxide canisters. Then we pulled a shoppers trolley and a shopping trolley out of the water, underneath Jarvis Bridge and disposed of them.
Alan went around the Causeway Green branch of the canal and cut away some low hanging tree branches, brought low by one of the recent storms, that's a head ache less for the dog walkers.
Finally we had a thorough debrief at the Crosswells Inn. Hopefully someone will have some photos, because mine failed today.
Once again, my thanks to the hero's who turn up and keep making these litterpick's possible.
