Good Afternoon lovely people of Quinton & beyond! We are recruiting for VOLUNTEER SHIFT LEADERS in our wonderful little charity shop! The role is primarily a normal volunteer role, where you will be working in the shop either on the till, sorting donations or steaming clothes, but as a shift leader you will be the person leading that shift & guiding volunteers in the absence of the manager. After successfully completing all training, you will have keys for the shop with responsibility of opening or closing & cashing up. The shift will be either a half day, 4 hours, or a full day if you prefer, once a week. Please click the link below to apply, or call/pop into the shop & speak to Becky. 💚

Good morning beautiful people! We have been working hard all weekend filling our shop top to bottom with clothes, shoes, homeware & Bric-a-brac! We literally can't fit anymore on the rails! But.. we are very low on children's toys. If you have any toys to donate to us we would very much appreciate it. Open today 9.30-4pm 💚

When Susan and James first started volunteering at Oxfam Tamworth, they never expected it would lead to meeting the love of their life 🤵👰💍

The couple tied the knot at a venue not too far from their Oxfam shop and made sure they got a picture outside to commemorate where they first met. Susan told us, “I could never have imagined meeting James when I first started volunteering for Oxfam, it's like a dream come true.” James added, “It was really special day, and she looked beautiful. It means a lot to both of us that we met while volunteering. We always say that Oxfam is in our hearts.”

Apparently 1 in 4 people that volunteer met their current or previous partner whilst volunteering - now isn't that a stat to fall in love with!
