We deliver a person centred care package which is designed to promote independence while ensuring your time with us is as memorable and comfortable as possible.

We will find out about each service users preferred daily routine, likes and dislikes, social, domestic, religious and cultural needs, entertainment activities. This will also allow the team to establish how each person would like to have their intimate personal care assistance delivered. All this is done by talking to the service user, their families and any professionals involved to ensure a collaborative person centered approach is followed.

This approach ensures we have as much information as possible to ensure we can and will meet all your needs and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

LEISURE AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

A variety of activities are offered at the Olinda Trust at Plas Parciau.

An activity folder is available to view to see examples of the places our current service users have visited, along with the activities completed.

At the Olinda Trust at Plas Parciau we believe that an activity is an opportunity to develop certain skills, to have fun and to achieve something with the end result. Art and Craft work is proudly displayed around the home and is celebrated.

During public holidays, different themed activities are available. Themed nights are also an opportunity for service users to have fun with one another.

We also enjoy celebrating service users’ birthdays and can accommodate any other special dates for example; anniversaries, Diwali, Hanukkah, Thanks Giving etc.

From time to time entertainment will be brought into the home for the service users to enjoy.

We support and encourage our service users to undertake work placements and educational training. For example, some of our service users attend the local college and work closely with an organisation called Hafal, which supports individuals with mental health problems.

If anyone has any additional ideas, please speak to our Social Care Facilitator.
