The Samuel Trust was founded in 2006 with the purpose of serving children and families in the St. Our Mission: We aim to minister to the children and families of Aberdeen – especially reaching the underprivileged parts of our community – in a holistic way that considers every aspect of their lives. We believe that sharing the good news of Jesus comes not only through our words, but through our act
ions and the relationships that we build with young people and their families. We seek to come alongside those we minster to, recognising that we are children of God. Our work has evolved over the years to fit the changing times, and has included after-school clubs, school work, lunch programs, prayer spaces, and more. Currently, we run three after-school clubs, reaching a total of nearly 100 children and young people largely from Cornhill Primary, St Peter’s RC, and St Machar Academy. During our primary school clubs, students enjoy fun and games, some Bible teaching, and a messy challenge! On a Friday afternoon, our secondary students come along to SAMS+ to have fun with their friends and chat about some of the challenges of life.
