🌈 Hundreds of people filled Simmons Park as Okehampton Pride returned for its biggest celebration yet.

The colourful event featured live music, entertainment, community stalls and performances, with organisers saying this year's Pride welcomed more people than ever and received fantastic feedback for its warm and inclusive atmosphere. ❤️🏳️‍🌈

I will be contacting our raffle winners shortly.
It will take us a few day to work out just how much we raised but I think everyone had the best day possible 🥰😍🤩🥳

🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: DOG SHOW CANCELLED 🚨

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐬.

Unfortunately we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's Pride Dog Parade scheduled for 12.45pm, 18th July.

High temperatures, hot pavements, and limited shade pose a severe health risk to our four-legged friends. The safety and wellbeing of your dogs, our visitors, and our volunteers will always remain our top priority. We simply cannot encourage anyone to bring their pets out in these conditions.

Thank you so much for your support and understanding. Stay safe, stay cool, be heat-wise and leave your furry friend at home. 🐶❤️
