It's a chance to visit our Headquarters just outside of Exeter and enjoy a day for family fun, learning about our Service and raising money for Fire Fighters Charity and Fire Aid Nepal.

The medium of paddling, and distraction of the elements creates a great platform to simply talk.

Hours on the oggin does incredible things for the body, the mind and the soul.

Sounds like a great opportunity for veterans

The Wild Reconnection Programme. Update.

Less than 24 hours after we shared that Wild Reconnection was launching, fifteen veterans have already been in touch wanting to know more. That the reaction that told us this programme is very much needed.

So here's the last piece: the full Wild Reconnection retreat overview.

Eight residential retreats, operating in every season, running November 2026 to June 2027 in a working woodland at Tarland, Aberdeenshire. Real tools, real seasonal work, and space to decompress alongside practical skills, a sense of purpose, and reconnecting with people who understand. Each retreat builds on the last, from a relaxed introduction in autumn through to a closing gathering next summer.

Every place is fully funded by the Veterans' Foundation and open to any military veteran, first-timers included.

Wow! Today was a full day, supporting a British Record breaker Stace Den, a quick cuppa with the lovely Katie Arscott Dr Kiri, The Midlife Mojo Doctor and the Really Useful Network en route to English Veterans Awards and then this! Getting home to notification of a nomination for the Dream Team award of the Nottys!

Head to Solace at 1300 to try your hand at stone carving. Due to last minute drop outs we have a couple of unexpected places. No charge. Fully funded.

Well that was unexpected! We were told we had missed the early bird deadline and our entry was going to be held over until next year instead. We look forward to learning more about what category we are winners in.
