See the incredible real-world impact of our Feel Good for Life programme, operating at the Ogmore Valley Life Centre.

This vital initiative is all about combatting dementia and loneliness by getting participants out of their homes, moving, laughing, and sharing memories together.

The heart and soul of this programme? Our amazing team of volunteers. They don't just set up the chairs, games, and pour the tea; they act as a true lifeline. From welcoming new faces to providing transport for those who find public travel overwhelming, they make sure no one in our valley gets left behind. 🚙 ☕

👉 Our Participants: For many, these weekly sessions are their main source of social connection. Attendees often describe the centre not as a facility, but as a family where everyone genuinely cares for one another.

Huge congratulations to Halo Sport Foundation member Emma, who officially earned her first international vest recently! 🏆

Emma travelled to the prestigious Loughborough International Athletics Meet to represent Wales on the track. Competing in the highly competitive track mile, she went head-to-head with some of the absolute best athletes in the country.

Earning a national call-up is a massive milestone in any athlete's career, and we couldn't be prouder to see Emma representing her country at such a high-profile event.

Emma said:

"I competed for Wales on Sunday [17th May] at the Loughborough international athletics meet in the track mile. This would be my first Welsh vest so I am proud of this achievement of being selected."

We are absolutely thrilled for you, Emma! Earning that Welsh vest is the direct result of all the long hours, grit, and dedication you put into your training. It is an incredible achievement, and the entire Halo community is cheering you on as you continue to level up. 💛

☀️ Ogmore Life Centre Summer Craft Fair Success! ☀️

On Saturday, June 13th, we held our fantastic Summer Craft Fair, and what a brilliant community day it was!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us, to our amazing local stallholders—including Bake's Sweetie Shop and Ogmore Valley Su***de Awareness—and to everyone who donated or bought treats at our bake sale. 🎨🧁

We were also thrilled to welcome the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (Ogmore Vale station)! The children had a wonderful time exploring the fire engine, trying on helmets, and learning how to use the hose. 🚒💦
