🎺🎺🎺 Hi Everyone.
As you probably know, Ogmore Valley Silver Band are rising from the ashes of the last few years without many players.
We would like to restart a learner band for all ages soon. However, we seem to be short of instruments, especially Cornets, that were lent out to people when the last training band was going.
If you played one of our instruments or know of someone who may have one, please can you let us know so we can arrange their return to the band hall.
If you would like to come along to play with the main band we meet every two weeks on Friday at 7.30pm. The next one being on the 16th October.
Please contact Tracey Ellitts, Trustee and Treasurer of the band on 07814924136.
We hope you can help us to find these so we can further develop the musical life of our Valley's community. Thank you. 🎺🎺🎺

People forget that if you own a band hall there is maintenance inside and out to be done. A busy Monday morning at the band hall as the front garden was looking a bit overrun so Robert Ellitts and Tracey Ellitts went down to tidy up. 2 and a 1/2 hours later having run out of garden bags, a trip to Brynmenin Tip to dump 10 bags of garden waste. There is still more to be done so watch this space (just give us time to recover)!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Our AGM is planned for 10th July at around 8:30pm after the first half of rehearsal. Everyone is welcome to come along and find out a bit more about the band and give their opinions and suggestions.
There will be tea and coffee, and maybe even some biscuits!

We've been sent this photo by Bill Hinde, a former player. Who can remember this?
