No more plastic at Nunthorpe!

We're ditching the single use plastic at Nunthorpe Academy.

However, don't forget; students can refill their water bottles free of charge at school throughout the day.

Simply bring your own reusable bottle and top up at break or lunch to stay hydrated. It's good for you, good for the environment, and helps us reduce single-use waste across the academy.

An invitation to Three of the Best

A short reminder that the Centenary Concert in Nunthorpe is only a fortnight away on the afternoon of Sunday 14th June. There is some remarkable talent lined up, which is worthy of a good audience.

The last to join the line-up is concert pianist Ms. Nurry Lee, who will be accompanying Charlotte and Rob - apparently she and Charlotte work together a lot in London, so it should be a formidable pairing. Apparently Nurry recently played at Carnegie Hall to a sell-out audience, so we are a bit in awe of the fact that she is coming to Nunthorpe.

Details about the concert can be found on the St Mary the Virgin, Nunthorpe website and tickets can be purchased online as well as being on sale at the church's Summer Fayre on Saturday 6th June.

Local talent made good.

An Extraordinary General Meeting of Nunthorpe Parish Council Council has been called for Thursday 14th May, 7pm at Nunthorpe Methodist Church to review the Nunthorpe Community Centre management arrangements, including the named lead Councillor for Nunthorpe Parish Council.

GREAT FIRST SEASON FOR THE NMRC POOL TEAM!

Congratulations to the NMRC Pool Team in the Stokesley & District Pool League 2025/26!

The team, kindly sponsored by NCU Installations, had a great first season, and it isn't quite finished yet!

CLOSED ! Stokesley Road going south from Guisborough Road is closed -‘access only’ refers to houses only. Access to the GP Surgery by car is only from Poole Roundabout with signs showing the issue. The workers are standing next to the drain trench which will shortly turn 90* and go towards Guisborough Road for a short distance before turning east towards the Community Centre car park. This work is likely to last for some time. I liaised with the Practice Manager who is informing patients too. Please set off for the surgery or pharmacy bearing this information in mind. If you are walking along there the footpath is open with a small diversion around the safety fence
