📣 Branches – Funding available for your Armed Forces Day event

Funding is now available again to support local events for Armed Forces Day 2026.

If your branch is planning a community day, reunion, family event or celebration to recognise our serving personnel, veterans and families, you may be eligible for a grant to help cover costs.

To qualify, events must:
• Take place within two weeks of 27 June 2026
• Include ‘Armed Forces’ in the event title
• Be relevant to today’s serving Armed Forces
• Offer free access to the Armed Forces Family (serving, veterans, cadets and families)
• Focus on celebration and recognition rather than fundraising or recruitment

This is a great opportunity to bring your local Sapper community together and say thank you.

It is 35 years since the UK Armed Forces played a major role in defeating the Iraqi military in the Gulf War.

More than 53,000 British personnel fought courageously as part of a US-led coalition force to drive Saddam Hussein’s forces from Kuwait.

47 of their number would lose their lives in combat. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇬🇧

The MOD has announced up to £500,000 in funding to support Armed Forces Day events nationwide, with grants up to £10,000 available on a match-funding basis for community celebrations.
📌 Funding applications for 2026 are open now and close 30 March 2026 — don’t forget to register your event too.
📅 Armed Forces Day 2026 takes place on Saturday 27 June, with the national event in Aldershot & Farnborough.
