As most of you are aware the cafe was opened in memory of the beautiful Chelsey who tragically lost her life 4 years ago tomorrow. It wouldnt be right to let the day pass us by without remembering her.
Chelsey was a bright clever and loving person who just wanted to make everyone around her happy. She didnt place stock on material things or money but on love family and community.
She founded Charlie wanted donuts and was happiest when she was creating and feeding everyone. She held a weekly pop up in the very space Chelsey’s Cafe is today.
Today we honour her in what we have achieved what we are striving to achieve, in every person we help, every act of kindess and with our community spirit and the family we have found in opening the cafe.
We are going from strength to strength and we cant wait to see what the next 12 months brings us. We have so much more we want to do and achieve but we couldnt let today pass without reminding ourselves and you why we do what we do.
Chelsey's memory will always be our driving force to keep going, to keep being better, to keep bringing our community together, even in her absence she is still making our little corner of the universe a better place.

Sorry its soo late its been a manic weekend in our house!

Friday we held our Forest school event with the amazing Allison Mckay and the 3rd chilwell scouts team of helpers! We were delighted to see how busy it was and so many smiling faces and lots of new ones to! This is what all the hard work that goes into Chelsey’s Cafe is all about, giving back to our commumity and boy did you turn out for us Friday.
From making alder bees to dinsoar footprints, hammer art and muddy play it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves and joining in.

We had a wonderful visit from the mayor of broxtwe, who loved what we were doing and asked to be invited to future events.

A massive thank you to Richard Danny MacRae and Stephen Richardson who were doing the bike coding and organised for the mayor to visit so again thank you!

And a massive thank you to all the team who week in week out give their free time to help our vision grow and become the best we can be.
