Lots of you asked who the fluffy black kitten was on our Stories last night, it's Sooty Bear! We haven't had a chance to introduce you to her or some of the other newbies yet because I (Holly) am, predictably, ill again 😭

If you're waiting on a message back from us I apologise enormously, I'll try to find a trustee with some time who can get back to people this week but everyone is monstrously busy and I am monstrously manky πŸ˜†

Sooty Bear is a wobbly baby girl from a farm in Stafford where quite a few of our wobblers have come from (they're working on neutering all the feral parents!). Long haired wobbly kittens are MESSY but I won't deny there's a good deal of healing in her sleepy, fluffy purrs ❀️

This tabby and white heartbreaker is Kenzie, a wobbly boy of about 1.5 years who was fending for himself on the streets in a really rough area of Birmingham.

Some people took him in and found he didn't have a chip, but they decided not to keep him. However, by the time he came out of their care, he smelt like a cannabis farm, so we think he had an interesting time!

Gorgeous Kenzie is pretty nervous at first (those big eyes!) but the sweetest and most loving boy when he knows he's safe with you. Currently he isn't very keen on the other cats he's met, although they were all boys, so maybe he'd be up for a gal pal!

The lovely lady who brought him to us got him neutered first (thank you!!!!), so we're just sorting out his chip and vaccines and then hopefully he'll be ready for his forever home. It always amazes us that wobbly cats manage to survive on the streets when they're at such a disadvantage -- just further proves our point that wobblers are incredible and should be given every chance for a happy life.

Welcome, Kenzie -- we love you and your gorgeous green eyes already. Hopefully they start looking a bit less spooked soon πŸ˜†

I try not to rant on here but sometimes things REALLY get my goat. And one of those things is veterinary professionals who think all cats with cerebellar hypoplasia should be put to sleep, without regard for their individual abilities or quality of life.

Whenever I mention to anyone that our rescue specialises in wobbly cats who are often put to sleep unnecessarily, they express disbelief. But here we are in 2026 and we're STILL seeing it.

Today, our fosterer took Star (who isn't wobbly) to a new vet, and happened to mention her own cat with CH. The vet immediately started asking if she "thinks it's fair" for a cat to have movement issues, and to not be allowed to free roam outdoors. The vet -- incredibly -- went on to say her own cat died horrifically last week as a result of having free access to outside, yet STILL insisted that it was better to put a wobbler to sleep than let them live a happy life indoors.

Cats with CH span an enormous spectrum from mildly clumsy to heavily impacted, and we will only consider cats who still have autonomy and quality of life. But if -- like so many vets -- we skipped straight to euthanasia for everyone, all the happy little faces in this post (and many, many more) that we've helped and homed over the past few years would be ashes in the ground. And that would be a tragedy.

Update on our bread-stealing tortie newbie, Jeanie ValJean! We now know 3 things about her that we didn't before:

1. She hates other cats (and has thus moved fosters to be Queen Bee)
2. She's not really wobbly at all, more like ever so slightly clumsy on her feet
3. She really likes being Long πŸ˜†

We had a few enquiries about her when we first posted her -- if you still think she might be the kitty for you bearing in mind this new info, do send a DM. She's a lovely girl, a bit shy at first but a cuddly purr / fuss / play monster when she realises she's safe. Which doesn't seem to take long at all ❀️

Keep an eye on any loose baguettes, though.

HELLO my name is Moon, are you the kind monkeys who paid for my eye to stop hurting? Thank you so much, I like it here at my foster home with food and warms and cuddles. My life is much better than last week when I lived outside an empty house by myself.

However, who is this small orange man, I do not approve, he is a stinky boy and half the size of me and I will hiss at him!!! At least until he knows I'm in charge.

Together, we did it again! Little Moon got her eye surgery today and is already looking so much brighter. I'm told she's eating the vets out of house and home πŸ˜† you go, pirate queen!

She's had some belly rubs from the vet (see video) and is recovering really well. First day of her brand new life as a loved, wanted, cared-for kitty, thanks to all of you generous people who decided to take money out of your own pockets to stop the suffering of a kitten you'd never met. I will never get over how brilliant our supporters are. I love you all.

And while we're here, look how well Star is healing, also thanks to you! He's been peak naughty all week, can't wait for him to meet Moon so they can do tiny kitten shenanigans together. What a turnaround from how their lives looked just a week or two ago ❀️ thank you for letting us change everything for them.

We have a new wobbler!

Everyone please welcome Jeanie, a 2-year-old mildly wobbly (more clumsy, really) tortie girl. She did have a lovely home, but sadly after an illness, one of the children became severely allergic to her and so she couldn't stay.

We've named her Jeanie Valjean because apparently she likes to steal bread πŸ˜† (Les Mis fans will get the reference!). Can't wait to see what happens when fosterer Imi accidentally leaves a loaf within her reach. Cats are so brilliantly bonkers.

She's been a bit reserved since arriving with Imi, but is already starting to warm up, playing with springs and even accepting a Lickelix.

Unusually for a cat given to us, she's spayed, chipped, jabbed, flead and wormed already -- all we have to do is get to know her and find her a wonderful home when she's ready. She gets on with other cats and has lived with dogs and children before, but she should be indoor or allowed outside in a catproofed space only because of the wobbles.

Welcome, Jeanie, our sandwiches will never be safe again! ❀

STAR AND MOON UPDATE! 🌟🌚

This is the face of a little angel kitten who has no idea there are hundreds of strangers donating, sharing, liking and rooting for her 😭 thank you all so much.

I'll put payment details in the comments in case anyone didn't get a chance to donate, but in short, thanks to you (again!), Moon's much-needed surgery is going ahead. It will hopefully happen on Monday (the vets are too busy today and not open on Sundays), we'll keep you updated of course.

Star, meanwhile, is so far past his poorly phase that he's turned into a proper orange cat -- naughty! He's doing so well, we're mega proud 🧑 can't wait to see Moon feeling just as good next week.

This was little Star's face when we told him that another cat with the exact same eye problem has been handed in to the exact same vet!

Obviously, the universe thought he needed a best friend, and the vets have of course named her Moon.

Moon needs her painful ruptured eye removed ASAP so she can live her best kitten life, like Star has been since you raised the money for his op last week.

We hesitate to ask but -- can we do it twice?! Can we raise the £500 (discounted!) operation cost for Moon too, so these babies can both have a best friend who's just like them? 🀞🏻
