Pentecost Sunday is one of the most important feast days of the Church. It celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary, 50 days after Easter and 10 days after Jesus’ Ascension into heaven.

It is often called the “Birthday of the Church” because after receiving the Holy Spirit, the Apostles began preaching the Gospel courageously to people of many nations and languages.

The story comes from the Bible in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:1–11), where:

* A strong wind filled the house
* Tongues of fire appeared above the disciples
* They were filled with the Holy Spirit
* They spoke in different languages so everyone could understand the message of God

Symbols of Pentecost include:

* 🔥 Fire — the power and presence of the Holy Spirit
* 🕊️ Dove — peace and the Holy Spirit
* 🌬️ Wind — God’s life-giving spirit
* ❤️ Red color — worn in church to symbolize fire and courage

In Catholic churches, Pentecost reminds believers to:

* Live with faith and courage
* Use their gifts to serve others
* Promote unity among different peoples and cultures

Everyone are welcome to attend!
