The 11th From Harm to Hope Conference is now behind us, and what an incredible success it was!
If someone had wandered in by accident, they might have seen a pink Lamborghini, people dancing and singing, incredible food, and countless hugs filled with warmth and joy. They might have thought the event was about anything but self-harm and su***de prevention conference.
And yet, that is exactly what it was about.
Because at the heart of all of it, the music, the laughter, the connection, is lifesaving work. It’s about breaking down mental health stigma, building a kinder and more compassionate society, and reminding one another that hope is always possible.
As our colleague Michelle, who attended for the first time this year, beautifully said: no matter whether you drive, sing, conduct research, deliver training, wrap a blanket around someone, advocate, or support in your own unique way — we all have the power to knock down walls, remove barriers, and create meaningful connection.
That spirit defined this year’s conference.
We’re bringing you a glimpse of the atmosphere in the video below — and we hope you’ll join us next year as we continue turning harm into hope, together.
