Introducing our next Reside artist: Gaylene Gould

Gaylene Gould is a socially engaged artist working with Global Majority communities to amplify their collective wisdom through conversation, making, and shared experiences.

During her Reside residency, she’ll begin developing a collaborative project centred on the humble Breadfruit, exploring its journey across the Pacific and Caribbean through conversations, recipe-gathering, and cooking sessions. This project will highlight the long, entangled history of human migration and plant life.

📣 We’re excited to announce our new exhibition 📣

OUR YARD: FOUNDATIONS
[21 Feb - 2 May]

This new exhibition, curated by founder Nate Coltrane, is a mixed-reality experience celebrating the positive impact of immigration on the UK through the lens of Sound System Culture.

Through newly commissioned work, archival footage, personal testimonies, and an immersive soundtrack, the exhibition reflects on early Caribbean migration in the 1960s and the sound, style, and community that shaped the 70s, 80s, and beyond, with a special focus on Nottingham. It’s a tribute to collective memory, joy in defiance, and the power of coming together.

🎉 Exhibition Launch Party: 20 February @ 6pm
