🎨 Turn your child's artwork into Christmas gifts

This week children will be bringing home a design sheet to create their own artwork. Send it back to school by the end of term - next Friday - for the opportunity to turn their design into cards, wrapping paper and even teddies. There's no pressure to buy, but every order helps raise money for more resources and events.

Here's how it works:

- Design sheets go home this week β€” your child gets to be creative and design something special
- Send back by Friday 16th October so we can send them to the supplier
- See the finished designs + order online
- Cards and gifts delivered back to school in time for Christmas.

🍷 FASHION SHOW – 20TH NOVEMBER, 6:30–9:30PM 🍷

This year is different. Catwalk seating, live models, and a bar that won't break the bank.

Enjoy the cheapest night out in the village
Prosecco from Β£3 (yes, three quid). Gin & tonic, l***r, Nosecco, soft drinks β€” all genuinely cheap. That's nearly half what you'd pay in the village pubs. And you can walk from school, no taxi, no parking drama.

But here's why it actually matters:
Every penny you spend funds what FOS funds. This year alone we've paid for: forest school sessions, playground painting, new sofas, resources, trips subsidy, discos, and more.

Sizes 8–22 on the catwalk. Come for the bargain, stay for the vibe, leave knowing you've helped the school.

Β£6 entry + welcome drink.

Book here: https://square.link/u/bkEmBOzp

This is perfect if you've never been to an FOS event before β€” come see what we're actually about.

What an absolute triumph! πŸŽ‰

Our Macmillan Coffee Afternoon smashed every expectation, and together we've raised Β£309.50 for families facing cancer.

Even more amazing is that we had over 300 donations of cakes, muffins and cookies. That's the most donations we've ever had at one event! From homemade masterpieces to shop-bought treats, every single cake made a difference. Some of you baked. Some of you bought. Some of you came along and enjoyed it.

That Β£309.50 goes straight to Macmillan - helping families with emotional support, practical help, and real hope when they need it most. That's what 300 cakes and a lot of community looks like.

Thank you to everyone who baked, donated, volunteered, or simply came along.

Do you have some fresh ideas for fundraising this year? We would love your input. Come along Wednesday at 630pm to our AGM and meeting to have your say and make a difference

Before the school year comes to an end, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Friends of St Peter's. ❀️

Despite the challenges of the school closure, our amazing school community has helped us raise an incredible Β£10,822.63, as well as donating over Β£1,700 worth of resources through our Amazon Wishlist!

From the Christmas and Summer Fairs to discos, football events, bake sales, raffles and so much more, every ticket bought, cake baked, prize donated and hour volunteered has helped make a real difference for our children.

Together, we've contributed more than Β£12,500 to enrich learning and experiences at St Peter's this year.

Thank you for your continued support – we couldn't do it without you! πŸ’™πŸŽ‰

Just a reminder of what Friends of St Peter's Junior School Ruddington funded last year.

Come along to our AGM and meeting tomorrow 630pm at school to hear about the funding requests for the new school year.

As another fantastic school year comes to an end, we'd like to share just some of the ways your fundraising has made a real difference to the children at St Peter's. ❀️

Thanks to your incredible support, Friends of St Peter's has funded:

✨ Playground painting
πŸ›‹οΈ New sofas for the school corridors (Ruddington Village Community Partnership grant)
🏫 Resources and equipment during the school closure
🌍 International Day of Languages
πŸ•οΈ Year 4 Camp Out
πŸ“¦ New storage solutions
πŸͺœ Steps for the Year 3 classrooms
🎨 Glue guns for creative projects
πŸ“š New Year 6 reading books
πŸͺ¨ Stone polishing workshops
🌳 Forest School sessions
πŸ”Š A new playtime PA system
πŸ› Playground rope repairs

And that's not all...

We're also delighted to have over Β£17,000 ring-fenced towards future playground equipment, helping us create an even better outdoor space at our new school.

Every event you've attended, raffle ticket you've bought, donation you've made and hour you've volunteered has helped make these projects possible.

Thank you for helping us enrich school life and create opportunities that go beyond the school budget. We can't wait to show you what we achieve together next year! πŸ’™

πŸ“’ **Join Us at Our AGM – Wednesday 9th September!** πŸ“’
As we start another exciting year of fundraising for St Peter's Junior School, we'd love to welcome new faces to our committee.

At our AGM we'll be electing our new **Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary**. If you've ever thought about getting more involved, now is the perfect time! No previous experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a passion for supporting our school community.
Following the AGM, we'll hold our first committee meeting of the new school year where we'll:
⭐ Plan our fundraising events for the year ahead
⭐ Approve funding requests from the school
⭐ Discuss new ideas to enrich our children's school experience
Whether you'd like to take on a committee role, help shape decisions, or simply find out more about what we do, we'd love to see you there.

Every pound we raise goes back into the school to provide opportunities, equipment and experiences that benefit all of our children.

πŸ“… **Wednesday 9th September**
Everyone is welcome – come along and see how you can make a difference!
